September 27th marked a special milestone for our Timothy family: one year since Pastor Kendall Meyer accepted the call to serve Timothy Lutheran Church and School!

While Pastor Kendall did not officially begin ministry with us until December, it was on September 27, 2025 that Pastor Kendall said “yes” to God’s call to Timothy. That acceptance began a new chapter for both Pastor Kendall and our church and school family.

Over the past year, we have been blessed to see God at work as Pastor Kendall has become part of the life and ministry of Timothy. Through worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and the many everyday moments of ministry, we continue to see how God brings people together to serve His Kingdom.

At Timothy, our vision is Transforming Lives Through Christ. As we celebrate the anniversary of Pastor Kendall accepting the call, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness and for the ways He continues to work through Pastor Kendall, our pastors, staff, congregation, school families, and ministries to share the love of Jesus with others.

Pastor Kendall, thank you for saying “yes” to the call to Timothy! We are grateful for your ministry among us and look forward to celebrating another special milestone in December when we mark one year since you officially began serving at Timothy.

May God continue to bless Pastor Kendall’s ministry and the entire Timothy family as, together, we continue Transforming Lives Through Christ!

In Not Beyond Reach, Aaron Pierce explores how discipleship can begin even before someone accepts Christ. Discover how everyday conversations, building trust, and genuine relationships can open doors to share the Gospel with friends and loved ones.

Come learn how God can use your everyday interactions to reach others with the love of Christ!

Celebrating Our Called Staff This October

October is a special time at Timothy as we celebrate and thank the dedicated Called Staff who faithfully serve our church and school ministries. Through their teaching, leadership, care, and commitment to sharing the Gospel, they live out Timothy’s vision of Transforming Lives Through Christ, nurturing faith and strengthening our Timothy family each day.

We invite all members to keep our Called Staff in their prayers throughout the month. Consider taking a moment to share a note of encouragement, send a kind message, or simply offer a heartfelt “thank you” for the many ways they serve. These small expressions of appreciation can be a tremendous blessing and a meaningful reminder that their ministry makes a difference.

As we continue our theme of being Rooted in Christ (Colossians 2:6-7) at the school, let us give thanks for the servant-hearted leaders God has placed among us. Through their faithful service, God continues to work in powerful ways, helping us grow together in faith and fulfill our vision of Transforming Lives Through Christ.

May our words of gratitude reflect Christ’s love and remind our Called Staff how deeply valued, appreciated, and loved they are by the Timothy family.

Mark your calendars and join us for October Oasis on Wednesday, October 14, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

This month's theme is "God Provides for Us," based on 1 Kings 17:10-16, the inspiring account of God's provision through the widow of Zarephath. Together, we'll explore how God faithfully provides for His people and strengthens our trust in Him during every season of life.

The evening begins with a meal at 6:00 p.m. and is open to all ages. Whether you're coming as an individual, a couple, or with your family, Oasis provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a meal, grow in faith, and connect with your Timothy family.

Come be encouraged by God's Word, enjoy fellowship with others, and be reminded of His abundant care and provision.

Join us for Timothy Lutheran Ministries’ Annual Fall Harvest Party on Friday, October 16 from 6:00–8:00 PM! Bring the whole family for an evening of fall fun and fellowship with games & prizes, a cake walk, cider & donuts, hay rides, and more!

And don’t forget Pie in the Face! Purchase tickets for $1 each or 6 for $5 and choose which principal, pastor, or teacher you’d like the chance to PIE!

We also need your help with our Cake Walk! We are looking for volunteers to donate cakes for this year’s event. Cakes may be dropped off at the church during business hours on Thursday, October 15, or anytime between 12:30–5:00 PM on Friday, October 16.

Timothy Lutheran School is excited to host a Career Exploration Fair for our 7th and 8th grade students, and we need the help of our Timothy congregation and community!

We are looking for volunteers from a variety of careers, professions, trades, and area businesses who would be willing to host a table and share what they do. This is a wonderful opportunity to help our students learn about different career paths, ask questions, and discover the many possibilities God may have in store for their futures.

The Career Exploration Fair will be held Tuesday, November 3, from 1:30–2:30 pm at Timothy Lutheran School.

Whether you work in healthcare, education, technology, business, public service, a skilled trade, ministry, or another field, we would love to have you join us!

 Cost: $25 per person — all materials are included, so just come ready to create and enjoy the morning!

Bring your creativity and crafty skills as we take ordinary duct tape and turn it into something amazin. Come ready for a night of creativity, competition, laughter, and plenty of sticky fun. Invite a friend and join us!

Looking for a simple way to support our students, teachers, and staff? Timothy’s PTL would love your help! There are many ways to get involved, whether you have an item to donate, a Thrivent Action Card to share, or a little time to give.

Current needs include Thrivent Action Cards, plain gift bags, and new or unused gift-able items that can be used for the upcoming Christmas Market. PTL is also grateful for food and monetary donations to help provide meals and treats for our hardworking teachers and staff throughout the year.

Prefer to lend a hand? Volunteers are always appreciated! Your time and talents help make PTL fundraisers, special events, and activities possible.

Throughout the month of October, Timothy Lutheran Ministries will be collecting donations to support Hillcrest, a ministry dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome homelessness and build a stronger future through housing, education, and supportive services.

To make giving easy, a donation cart will be available in the church lobby. Be sure to check the cart regularly for a list of Hillcrest's most needed items, as those needs may change throughout the month. Every donation, big or small, provides encouragement and practical assistance to those working toward stability and independence.

As we remain Rooted in Christ (Colossians 2:6-7), we are blessed to share His love through acts of compassion and service. Thank you for your generosity and for partnering with Hillcrest to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. Together, we can be Christ's hands and feet in our community.

Here is the list of specific items that are needed requested by the residents: full sized deodorants (male and female), face wash, toilet paper, paper towels, sugar, pasta sauce (spaghetti & Alfredo) and ranch dressing.

We are incredibly grateful to Mary Martha for their generous support of Timothy Lutheran School! Through the donation of three Thrivent Action Team cards, we were able to purchase robots for our students, Chromebook charging carts for our classrooms, and recorders for our music program.

In addition, Mary Martha raised additional funds to support our Teachers Pay Teachers account, giving our teachers access to even more resources for their classrooms.

Do you have a heart for children and a few hours to spare during the week? We are currently seeking nursery volunteers for weeknight events and Sunday mornings.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and willing to provide a safe, caring environment for our little ones while parents attend church programs and small groups.

Timothy Lutheran School is excited to host its 10th Annual Walk-A-Thon on Friday, September 25, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. This special event brings our school family together for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and support for an important school improvement project.

As we celebrate this year's theme, "Rooted in Christ" from Colossians 2:6-7, we are reminded that when our faith is firmly planted in Jesus, we can grow, serve, and accomplish great things together. The Walk-A-Thon is a wonderful opportunity for our students to put that spirit into action while supporting their school community.

This year's fundraiser will help purchase a much-needed canopy shade tent for the big-kid playground, providing additional comfort and protection for students during outdoor activities. All Timothy Lutheran School students will participate by walking laps around the school's parking lots and collecting pledges from family members, friends, and supporters.

You can support Timothy Lutheran School by making a donation or sharing the fundraiser with others. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us move closer to our goal and makes a meaningful difference for our students.
