Biblical forgiveness does not bypass confession or repentance — it depends on them.
Forgiveness grows best where truth is spoken in love.

Ladies, have you ever been hurt… no, I mean really hurt by someone’s words or actions? Or have you said or done something that you replay in your mind wishing for a different outcome? As women, I think we have all experienced this. I have and I am desperate for the healing and freedom that Pastor Ryan preached about last weekend. You are invited to join me, Lynn Meyer, on a 7 week journey toward freedom. We will be using Lysa Terkeurst’s book and video entitled, ‘Forgiving what you can’t forget’, as our guide. Thursdays (May 21- July 1) from 6:00pm- 6:30pm come enjoy snacks and time to visit; our study will begin promptly at 6:30pm and will end promptly at 8:00pm. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact church office and Lynn will be happy to contact you. |

A huge thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday to help fill holes in the parking lot! Your time, hard work, and willingness to serve made a noticeable difference, and we are truly grateful for every helping hand.
This project was a wonderful reminder of the strength of our church family—many hands truly do make light work, and the result is a smoother, safer parking lot for all. Thank you for coming with such generous spirits and positive attitudes. Your service is deeply appreciated and a blessing to our Timothy community. |

As we look ahead to the coming school year, Timothy Lutheran School will have three School Board member terms concluding in May. In preparation, we are seeking three new individuals who are willing to prayerfully serve our school community by joining the Timothy Lutheran School Board.
Serving on the School Board is a meaningful way to support the mission and ministry of Timothy Lutheran School. Board members help guide long‑term vision, provide faithful leadership, and partner with administration to ensure Timothy remains a Christ‑centered place of academic excellence.
We encourage anyone with a heart for Christian education, a desire to serve, or an interest in leadership to consider this opportunity. Experience in education, finance, leadership, or strategic planning is a gift—but most important is a willingness to serve and support Timothy Lutheran School.
If you would like more information or would like to explore what serving on the School Board involves, please email: TLS_schoolboard@timothylutheran.com Please keep the School Board and this selection process in your prayers as we seek God’s guidance for the future of Timothy Lutheran School. |

Fun Day is one of the most anticipated events of the year for our students—a full day of games, activities, and celebration to wrap up the school year, including special visits from our first responders and a fire truck finale! It’s also an important day that gives teachers uninterrupted time to complete end‑of‑year work, which means we rely heavily on volunteers. Fun Day truly takes a village, and even a small time commitment makes a big difference. Without enough volunteers, we cannot run the day as planned, so we sincerely appreciate your support!

As your calendars flip to May and the summer months, the Women of Hope leadership team invites Timothy's ladies to mark your calendars for a fun fellowship event again this year! The Powell Gardens Colonial Farms Music in the Gardens free concert series is back on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm in the Courtyard. Join your sisters in Christ (and bring friends!) on June 17. Take in the live music in a relaxed, open‑air setting while enjoying seasonal snacks and drinks available for purchase from a food truck on site.. The website (colonialfarmskc.org) indicates "seating is first-come, first-served, so come early and stay awhile" rather than signing up for the free tickets. Please RSVP by clicking on the link below by June 14 to give the team an idea of how many to expect. Contact Diane Mayfield (dianelmayfield@comcast.com) with questions. See you there! |

Did you notice the VBS RainForest Falls donation board that went up in the lobby last week? We invite our Timothy family to help make VBS 2026: RainForest Falls – Exploring the Nature of God a joyful and meaningful experience through donations. One special way to support VBS this year is by choosing to Adopt a VBS Student. This option helps cover the cost of supplies and materials for a child attending VBS, ensuring every student can participate fully in this exciting week of learning and fun. Simply stop by the lobby, grab a donation tag, and return the requested item or contribution. Every donation, whether supplies or student support, plays an important role in bringing VBS to life. 🗓 All donations are due by June 1, unless other instructions are written on your specific tag. Please return you items with the tags attached. Thank you for your generosity, support, and continued investment in sharing God’s love with our children through VBS! |

During the month of May, our donations will be collected in support of Jesus El Buen Lutheran Church, a ministry making a meaningful impact in its community. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together in service and generosity as we help meet the needs of others.
A donation cart will be available in the church lobby with a list of current needs for Jesus El Buen Lutheran Church. Please take a moment to stop by, review the list, and consider how you might help. Every contribution—large or small—makes a difference.
Thank you for your continued faithfulness and willingness to serve. Your generosity truly reflects Christ’s love in action. |
