As a small token of appreciation, flowers will be distributed to all ladies following the service. Ladies, have you ever been hurt… no, I mean really hurt by someone’s words or actions? Or have you said or done something that you replay in your mind wishing for a different outcome? As women, I think we have all experienced this. I have and I am desperate for the healing and freedom that Pastor Ryan preached about last weekend. You are invited to join me, Lynn Meyer, on a 7 week journey toward freedom. We will be using Lysa Terkeurst’s book and video entitled, ‘Forgiving what you can’t forget’, as our guide. Thursdays (May 21- July 1) from 6:00pm- 6:30pm come enjoy snacks and time to visit; our study will begin promptly at 6:30pm and will end promptly at 8:00pm. Please join us on Friday, May 15 as Timothy Lutheran School celebrates two special milestones—Preschool Graduation and 8th Grade Graduation.
The Preschool Graduation ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m., honoring our youngest learners as they take this exciting first step in their educational journey. A reception will follow the ceremony.
Later that evening, we will celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating 8th grade class during their ceremony at 7:00 p.m., with a reception to follow as well.
Families, friends, and members of the Timothy congregation are warmly invited to attend both celebrations as we give thanks for our students, teachers, and the many blessings God has provided throughout the school year. We look forward to celebrating together! |

Timothy Lutheran Church is excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our high school and college seniors with a special Senior Graduate Slideshow honoring this important milestone in their lives.
Graduation marks a season of growth, perseverance, and new beginnings, and we would love for our church family to join in recognizing the hard work and dedication of our graduates. The slideshow will be shared during worship on Sunday, May 24, giving the congregation an opportunity to celebrate and pray for our seniors as they take their next steps.

Music, delicious food, laughter, and lively conversation filled the room as ladies gathered for the LWML Tea Party last Saturday. Festive hats added a charming touch and helped set a joyful tone for the day. Following The TeaCup Story devotion, guests enjoyed the first course of cherry blossom appetizers, petite sandwiches, and fresh fruit while listening to beautiful selections performed by members of Timothy’s school concert band, accompanied by the Second Wind Woodwind Trio.
The afternoon continued with assembling May baskets and creating greeting cards for Timothy’s homebound members. A delightful dessert course of cheesecake bites and butter cookies followed before a brief business meeting and the installation of new officers. Thank you to all members and guests who helped make this spring event such a meaningful and successful celebration of fellowship and service.

Please note that the church parking lot will be resealed on Monday, May 25th as part of our ongoing maintenance efforts. To prepare for this work, everyone must remove their vehicles from the parking lot immediately after church services on Sunday, May 24th. Clearing the lot on Sunday will allow the crew to begin work promptly and ensure the resealing process goes smoothly. The Lutheran Urban Mission Agency Auxiliary will meet on Wednesday, May 20 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 711 Benton Boulevard, Kansas City, MO. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. with the opening devotion at 9:30 a.m. The program speaker will be Doris Cannon, Lead Victim Advocate for Jackson County, MO. The Mission of the Month collection is personal hygiene items, underwear (all sizes) and monetary donations. Lunch will be served. Timothy's Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) will begin collecting disposable diapers of all sizes and donate them to Happy Bottoms in an effort of helping them keep their shelves stocked. This organization, based in Kansas City, partners with social service agencies and hospitals to assure babies and toddlers from low-income families have access to clean diapers for their child's health care and comfort. The collection will run Mother's Day through Father's Day and the congregation is welcome to make a contribution to help these little ones. The diapers may be left in the container available in the lobby. |

As your calendars flip to May and the summer months, the Women of Hope leadership team invites Timothy's ladies to mark your calendars for a fun fellowship event again this year! The Powell Gardens Colonial Farms Music in the Gardens free concert series is back on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm in the Courtyard. Join your sisters in Christ (and bring friends!) on June 17. Take in the live music in a relaxed, open‑air setting while enjoying seasonal snacks and drinks available for purchase from a food truck on site.. The website (colonialfarmskc.org) indicates "seating is first-come, first-served, so come early and stay awhile" rather than signing up for the free tickets. Exploring the Nature of God Mark your calendars and get ready for an exciting week of faith, fun, and discovery at Timothy Lutheran Church and School’s 2026 Vacation Bible School! Join us for Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God, taking place June 22–26, 2026. VBS is open to children ages preschool through 5th grade, and it promises a week filled with engaging Bible lessons, music, crafts, games, and hands-on activities that help children discover who God is and how much He loves them—all set in a vibrant rain-forest theme. We also invite youth and adults to be part of the excitement by serving as VBS volunteers. We invite our Timothy family to help make VBS 2026: RainForest Falls – Exploring the Nature of God a joyful and meaningful experience through donations. One special way to support VBS this year is by choosing to Adopt a VBS Student. This option helps cover the cost of supplies and materials for a child attending VBS, ensuring every student can participate fully in this exciting week of learning and fun. Simply stop by the lobby, grab a donation tag, and return the requested item or contribution. Timothy Lutheran has been supporting Hillcrest’s mission since 2008. Our congregation sponsors an apartment at Lee’s Summit location, providing essential support to residents as they begin their transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Timothy's volunteers: Clean and prepare the apartment before a resident move in Stock the pantry and shop for replacement items as needed Provide a warm welcome meal upon move‑in Celebrate with residents by attending their graduation celebration
In addition, Timothy supports Hillcrest through quarterly food donations and by providing Christmas gifts through our Giving Tree. This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, celebrate Hillcrest’s 50 years of service, and continue supporting their vital work in our community.
