Luke 3:41-52 presents a poignant snapshot of Jesus’ childhood, revealing a profound spiritual awareness far beyond His years in the midst of Jesus’ parents thinking He’s lost. At the tender age of twelve, Jesus exhibits a remarkable understanding of His divine purpose and a commitment to His Father’s will. This passage offers a unique glimpse into the formative years of the Messiah, challenging us to consider the depth of His early devotion and the implications for our spiritual development. As we delve into this passage, we are confronted with a compelling challenge: How can we cultivate a similar level of spiritual maturity and devotion to God in our own lives? How can we, like young Jesus, prioritize our spiritual growth and seek to fulfill God’s purposes as we leave some things behind?

Join us this Sunday, January 12th, as we gather to install Timothy's lay leaders for the 2025 calendar year. This special service will celebrate and commission our new executive board members, elected elders, school board, and commission leaders, affirming their dedication to serving the Lord and His church.
As Paul reminds us in 1 Peter 4:10: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
Let us come together as a church family to pray for and support those who have answered the call to lead.
Thoughtful listener, genuine, smart, witty, joyful laugh;these are words that are consistently used to describe this week’s Timothy Lutheran staff spotlight, Jill Otte. She is the language arts teacher and one of the two 5th grade homeroom teachers for 5th grade.
Mrs. Otte has high expectations, but supports her students along the way, allowing them to achieve at a high academic level.
Her colleagues have this to say about her: “Jill provides thoughtful, interesting, and creative ways for students to learn and practice important skills. I appreciate her joyful laugh and dedication to her students.” “She genuinely cares for all of her students and wants them to not only be successful but ready for the next steps of their education.” “She has a contagious laugh, and it automatically sends a calm into the room.
Her love of Jesus is evident in everything she does. One can tell she loves the students by just watching her interact with them.” “…students excel under her watch. She is an incredible listener, so when staff reach out to her, she takes the time to truly understand and offers valuable insight. We sure love having her here!
Here are thoughts from TLS students: "She makes spelling fun!" "I love her class. She makes learning fun." "Mrs. Otte always listens." "She's SO smart!""I love her laugh..."
Mrs. Otte personifies this passage in scripture: My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. James 1:19. Jill Otte is a great model of this character and a true Timothy Hero. We are, again, blessed.
I want to express my sincere appreciation to my church family for all the prayers, cards, calls, and concerns for my husband, Bob, and myself during his hospitalizations and at the time of his death. We both felt the love.
A special thank you to Pastor Ryan and Pastor Lieb for their prayers and their visits to the hospital. The Memorial Service was very comforting to our family. God bless all of you for your support and kindness.

The Story of Jesus’ birth is a tale of wonder and intrigue. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, a group of wise men from the east arrived in Jerusalem seeking the “one who has been born king of the Jews.” There’s no doubt they had notions of what they would find. Guided by a star, they followed its light until they found the young lowly child. He wasn’t anything “special” nor was he found in a kingly palace. Yet upon seeing him, they worshiped and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. This event, known as the Epiphany, marks the revelation of Jesus as the Messiah to the Gentiles. As we relive this point in history we consider what our expectations are of Christ today and how faith shapes our search for who God truly is and what He truly came to do.

Christmas welcomes in the light of the world. He is here, there is no doubt about it. As the Christ candle shines brightly through the question is, do we see it? Or have we lost site of it already? Today we hear the story of a man named Simeon and a woman named Ann. These two saw what so many around them didn’t see. They saw the light of the world while others walked right on by. How can this be? And even more so how can we be sure we won’t miss it?

We are overjoyed to share that this year’s Journey to the Manger was an incredible success! Thanks to your generous hearts and steadfast support, every single item on the Giving Tree was purchased—a remarkable milestone we have not reached in many years. What a beautiful testament to the love and compassion flowing through our congregation. Truly, you have been a blessing to so many in need.
This year, the Giving Tree gifts will benefit families identified by Hillcrest Transitional Housing and LUMA in Kansas City. In addition, we are excited to continue offering gift card tags to support the Community Services League (CSL). Your participation not only fills tangible needs but also brings hope and joy to individuals and families during this season of giving.
As we celebrate this achievement, let us reflect on the words of Jesus:
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40
Your acts of kindness and generosity exemplify what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. Thank you for being a shining light and for helping us make this year’s Journey to the Manger a true blessing for all involved.
With heartfelt gratitude, Timothy Lutheran Ministries
Family Sunday: December 29th will be FAMILY SUNDAY. On our 5th Sundays throughout the year, we have been encouraging the entire congregation to worship together with one voice. So there will be NO Faith Roots on that Sunday. There will, however, be Epiphany activities to pick up in the sanctuary for our young some sermon notes for our slightly older little ones along with some coloring sheets. There will be some music in the service that our kids can participate in. This is a great opportunity to teach and lead our kids in what worship is all about. And just to ramp it up, there will be chocolate milk available! Come worship with us!
Starting January 5th at 10:30 AM, we invite you to join us for a new 8-week Bible study in the Timothy Library. Kick off the new year with us as we dive into God’s Word together!

At Christmas, one of the things that should distinguish a Christ follower is a love that reaches out to the marginalized and forgotten. Such giving is an act of true worship. Over and over again in scripture, we see Jesus teaching that He is on the side of the impoverished. As followers of Christ, we are called to do the same - to lavishly love the poor, the hurting, the lonely. The people in our neighborhoods, in our schools, in our cities, and around the world. When God’s people serve in humble, generous ways, the story of Jesus is told again and again. Through our actions and our words, people will be reminded that they are loved by the Creator of the universe and He has not forgotten them. We radically love others because we have personally experienced the radical love of God. That changes our hearts and should change the way we celebrate Christmas. When we show up and love in the name of God, God shows up.

Over the years, Don’s dedication has ensured that our spaces are welcoming, safe, and functional for all who enter. His tireless work behind the scenes has been instrumental in supporting our ministries and events, and his presence is a source of encouragement to everyone he encounters.
As we prepare to transition to a new facilities management structure in the new year, we are thrilled to share that Don will continue serving Timothy in a part-time capacity as Facility Assistant starting in January.
We are deeply grateful for Don’s years of service and look forward to the continued blessing of his faithful contributions to our mission. Thank you, Don, for your unwavering commitment to Timothy and your love for this church family!

When we allow Christmas to revolve around possessions, barriers are raised between our true selves and God’s command to love Him above all things. Our Advent becomes less about preparing for Jesus and more about the busy schedules and expectations we’re carrying. Our hearts feel dissatisfied and are searching for something that can’t be bought in a store. So, we spend less. Instead of mindlessly shopping and spending more than we can afford, we take the time to think about our purchases. We resist to empire of more and declare that Jesus is worthy of our praise. This is more than just an invitation to say no to overspending. This is an invitation to a new way of celebrating.

As part of your preparation for celebrating the birth of the Christ Child, make plans to join your Timothy family at this year’s Advent Service this Wednesday evening with the Timothy Lutheran School. The Timothy Lutheran School 1st - 8th Grade Christmas program occurs during service this Wednesday, December 18th at 6 pm.
Timothy's Women of Hope ministry hosted a meaningful evening of prayer and fellowship last Friday. A worshipful devotion and sing-along, led by Miriam Lindemann, her daughters Audra and Maranda, and granddaughters Savannah and Elyse, reminded us of God's presence and grace in our lives. This year's guest speaker, Hillcrest Transitional Housing graduate Blair Graham, shared her appreciation for Timothy's sponsorship of the Hilcrest apartment so she could focus on attaining a better life for her family.
Prayers lifted up that evening were included in Timothy’s emailed Weekly Prayers this past Monday. Make plans to attend this event next year to enhance your Advent season!

As part of your preparation for celebrating the birth of the Christ Child, make plans to join your Timothy family at this year’s Advent Services. The two remaining services are Wednesday, Dec. 11th, and Wednesday, Dec. 18th, in the auditorium at 6 pm. The Timothy Lutheran School 1st - 8th Grade Christmas program occurs during service on Dec. 18th.
At Timothy Lutheran Church, our community is blessed to have dedicated and talented part-time staff members who enrich our worship and fellowship. Two such individuals are Pastor Rod Lindemann and his wife, Miriam Lindemann.
Pastor Rod Lindemann
Pastor Rod serves faithfully, sharing his pastoral gifts and love for music with the congregation. He plays a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth of our church, including helping lead Discovery classes. We are profoundly grateful for Pastor Rod’s many years of dedicated service to Timothy, even after his well-earned retirement.
Miriam Lindemann
As our Worship Arts Minister for Traditional services, Miriam plays a vital role in orchestrating meaningful and uplifting worship experiences. Her dedication to fostering a spirit of reverence and tradition is evident in every hymn and liturgical detail. Beyond her Sunday contributions, Miriam leads a small group on Thursday evenings at Timothy. This group provides a space for fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth, further strengthening our church's sense of community.
We are grateful for the Lindemanns' commitment and passion, which greatly enrich the life of Timothy Lutheran Church. Be sure to thank them for their service the next time you see them!
In November, Timothy members were invited to honor God by donating food to support the Thanksgiving food distribution organized by Jesus El Buen Pastor Lutheran Church in downtown Kansas City. On November 25, these generous donations, totaling an estimated 1,100 pounds, were delivered to Jesus El Buen Pastor Lutheran Church.
Thank you, Timothy donors, for your gracious response to this call to action. Your gifts are a tangible reflection of God’s love in action!
Pictured above are Pastor Juan Zamora and Blanca Andre, who received the donations with heartfelt gratitude. Thanks to Timothy’s outpouring of love and generosity, these contributions helped feed 100 families in Jesus El Buen Pastor Lutheran Church’s community this Thanksgiving.
Timothy’s annual Journey to the Manger will take place before both services on Sunday, December 15. Worshipers are invited to choose gift tags from the Giving Tree to support families in need identified by Hillcrest Transitional Housing and LUMA in Kansas City. Additionally, gift card tags will be available to support CSL.
Gift tags will be available through Sunday, December 8. Please check your tag carefully to see if the gift should be wrapped or unwrapped. A registry will be available to log the giver’s name, phone number, and the specific gift selected.
Thank you for returning your gift(s) with the tag(s) attached by Sunday, December 15! If you have any questions, please contact Sandy Gregory at 816.228.5300.
Thank you for joining your Timothy family in prayerfully considering how your family can participate in the generosity emphasis this fall to support Timothy's ministries moving forward in 2025. Your commitment card, sealed inside the provided envelope or a similar one, may be returned in the offering plate or mailed to the church. Please remember to provide your name on the outside of the envelope so it can be returned to you at this time next year.
Jesus, we gather to express our deepest gratitude for Your unwavering love and grace. We thank You for the opportunity to serve You and Your kingdom through Timothy’s ministries. We praise You for the vision You have placed in the hearts of Your servants to reach out to others and share the transformative power of Your Word. We are thankful for the privilege of participating in Your divine plan. Acts offers more than history; it reflects the Spirit's ongoing work within the church. We'll examine how early believers faced challenges, built community, and boldly shared the gospel—experiences relevant to us today.
With a dedicated reading plan, we’ll explore the stories of Peter, Paul, and others, learning how the Holy Spirit empowered them and how He can empower us. We’ll find practical ways to apply these lessons to our lives and become effective witnesses for Christ.
Follow along with our sermon series and weekly Prepare for Worship emails for reading assignments. Let’s be inspired by the early church's courage and faith and ignite a fresh wave of God’s Kingdom.
This week’s reading: Chapter 27-28
The Book of Acts details the early church's dynamic growth, showcasing ordinary people doing extraordinary things through the Holy Spirit. Over 13 weeks, we'll see the birth of a movement that reshaped the world.
Never Stop
We've all been there. Overwhelmed, exhausted, ready to throw in the towel. Whether it's our jobs, relationships, or even our spiritual lives, the weight of it all can be crushing. But what if our greatest challenge is also our greatest calling? The book of Acts paints a picture of church on fire, relentlessly pursuing God's mission. Yet, even they must have faced moments of doubt and fatigue. So, how do we sustain the pace? Where do we find the strength to keep going when it feels impossible? Let's explore together the secret to enduring faith and tireless service. As we conclude our journey through Acts, let's discover the power that fuels a never-ending mission. Are you ready to renew your commitment to the Gospel and discover the resources you need to keep going?
Welcome to the Advent Conspiracy: A Deeper Dive into the Christmas Story
Rediscovering the True Meaning of Christmas
Advent Conspiracy invites us to step away from the commercial frenzy and reconnect with the profound story of Christmas. It's a call to celebrate this sacred season with humility, beauty, and generosity. The Heart of Advent
At the core of Advent is the anticipation of Christ's coming. It's a time to reflect on the miraculous birth of the Savior, the Word made flesh. This extraordinary event has the power to transform our lives and the way we celebrate Christmas.
The Four Tenets of Advent Conspiracy will be address in the upcoming four weeks of Advent.
December 1 | Worship Fully: Prioritize Christ in your life. Worship Him with your heart, mind, and soul.
December 8 | Spend Less: Focus on intentional, thoughtful gifts rather than mindless consumerism.
December 15 | Give More: Give your time, energy, and presence to those you love.
December 22 | Love All: Reach out to the marginalized and forgotten in your community.
Why These Tenets Matter
Worship Fully: When our hearts are oriented towards Christ, our actions naturally align with His teachings.
Spend Less: By spending less on material things, we can free up resources to give more meaningfully.
Give More: The most meaningful gifts are often those that come from the heart, not the store.
Love All: Following Jesus means loving our neighbors, especially the most vulnerable.
A Call to Action
Join the Advent Conspiracy movement and experience a Christmas that truly matters in our four-week sermon series. Let's rediscover the joy, peace, and hope that can be found in the humble birth of Jesus Christ. Together, we can make a difference. Are you ready?

Next Steps:

Moving Church Property to the Storage Building Moved items over to the storage building 11/16/2024
Removal of Excess Dirt and Grass Seeding (Volunteers Needed)
Selling Storage Containers (Members interested in purchasing a container should contact Mary Taggart)
Building Blessing Ceremony (Date TBD)
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project with their time, talents, and resources.
FaithRoots Helpers Needed!
We are having a good year in Faithroots as we have aligned our children’s ministry with our sermons this season, hoping to connect the whole family in the same place in God’s Word. As we get near the end of the year, though, we are running short on 9am service FaithRoots volunteers. Our goal is for everyone simply to help once a month or every 6 weeks, but that means we need enough hands to help. Currently, we are running a little short. Please pray about it and consider whether you may be willing or able to help out. If you’re interested, please contact Pastor Ryan, and perhaps you can set up a time to see what’s going on in Faith Roots some Sunday and if it might work with your gifts and willingness. Thanks for considering!
Pack the Cart for Charity - Middle School Event
This Saturday, November 23rd, our middle school group will head to Walmart to "Pack the Cart" for a great cause. We will meet at Walmart at 2 pm. We'll shop for Christmas food baskets to help local families in need and pick up gifts for a few adopted children to make their holidays brighter.
After our shopping trip, we’ll return to the church for a fun gift-wrapping session, complete with cookies and hot cocoa. It's the perfect way to spread holiday cheer while serving our community together.
Don’t miss out on this special event—let’s make a difference this holiday season! Click Here to sign up.

Thanksgiving Eve Service
Come join your Timothy family during Thanksgiving Eve Service on November 27th at 6 pm. Every year we take time out as a nation to celebrate Thanksgiving. As the day draws near, children's artwork is filled with things they are thankful for. Our homes are decorated with little ceramic cornucopias with the words,"Give Thanks." And at our tables filled with family and friends, we go around listening to people share what they are thankful for. But behind the decor, words, and crafts, are we truly thankful? Are our hearts filled with thanksgiving toward God, or are these just words? Maybe it's time to consider what it is that leads us to a life of Thanksgiving. As is tradition at Timothy, our Thanksgiving offering will support our Emergency Assistance Fund.
Journey to the Manger
Timothy’s annual Journey to the Manger will take place before both services on Sunday, December 15. Beginning Wednesday, November 27, worshipers are invited to choose gift tags from the Giving Tree to support families in need identified by Hillcrest Transitional Housing and LUMA in Kansas City.
As part of your preparation for celebrating the birth of the Christ Child, make plans to join your Timothy family at this year’s Advent Services. November Food Donations
The cool mornings of fall are upon us, and soon it will be time for family Thanksgiving gatherings. It is also time to begin thinking about Timothy's customary November food drive to support the Jesús el Buen Pastor Lutheran Church of Kansas City's Thanksgiving food distribution effort. This year, they expect to support approximately 100 needy families with a box of food, including a frozen turkey from Harvester's, to fill their tables at Thanksgiving. Donations may be placed in the grocery cart which sits in the Church lobby just to the right (east) of the south entry doors. Grocery bags with an attached suggested food list are located in the grocery cart. Just take a grocery bag(s) and return them filled with your food donation to the same location no later than Sunday, November 24th.
Thank you for your continued support of this vital ministry for those who need food! Blessings to you and your family in this Thanksgiving season.

We are incredibly grateful to Daryl and Becky Fowler for graciously stepping up to help with this vital service to the Blue Springs community. Use Every Opportunity
Time waits for no one. Moments slip through our fingers like grains of sand. We've all looked back with regret, wishing we'd seized an opportunity. As followers of Chirst, we're called to be ready, equipped to share His goodness at a moment's notice. But are we truly prepared? Is our light shining brightly enough to pierce the darkness? Let's come together to ignite our faith, sharpen our focus, and ensure we're ready to embrace every opportunity God places before us. Will you join us in a commitment to live fully present, expectant of God's movement? Let's make the most of every moment.

As part of your preparation for celebrating the birth of the Christ Child, make plans to join your Timothy family at this year’s Advent Services. The services on Wednesday, Dec. 4th, and Wednesday, Dec. 11th will be in the auditorium at 6pm. The Dec. 18th Advent service will at 6:00pm in conjunction with the TLS 1st grade - 8th grade Christmas program.

This important gathering is to bring us together to vote on the budget for 2025, slate of lay leaders, and discuss the future Next Generation planning. Make your voice heard as we look forward to an impactful year ahead!

This week’s reading: Chapter 21-23
The Book of Acts details the early church's dynamic growth, showcasing ordinary people doing extraordinary things through the Holy Spirit. Over 13 weeks, we'll see the birth of a movement that reshaped the world.
Pasts Are Never for Nothing
Our pasts can be a haunting shadow. Mistakes, regrets and pain can cast a long and dark spell. But what if those very shadows could be transformed into something beautiful? Paul, the apostle, knew this firsthand. His history was marked by darkness, yet God's grace turned it into a beacon of hope. Every scar, every failure, became a canvas for God's redemptive artistry. Let's come together to explore the incredible power of God's redemption. Let's find hope in our stories, strength in our weaknesses, and purpose in our pain. Are you ready to discover the beauty in your brokenness? Join us as we celebrate the God who specializes in second chances.

Church Worker Scholarship Thank You
Dear Timothy Lutheran Church,
First, thank you so much for your continued support of my theological education. I recently completed my second Systematic Theology class, and it was a joy to explore the deeper implications of Christ’s incarnation, death, and ascension. While we may sometimes think it would be better if Christ were still physically on earth, He has given us His Spirit—making Him present with us in an even greater way, as He is no longer bound by a physical body. The Holy Spirit is, in essence, "another Christ." One of the most exciting and encouraging parts of this course was learning about Christ’s connection to His people, the Church.
In Him, Meg B

This week’s reading: Chapter 19-20
The Book of Acts details the early church's dynamic growth, showcasing ordinary people doing extraordinary things through the Holy Spirit. Over 13 weeks, we'll see the birth of a movement that reshaped the world.
Where Can I Buy Boldness
Boldness. A quality we all long for, yet often find lacking. The early church prayed fervently for it. But has that prayer lost its power over time? On this All Saints Day, as we remember those who have gone before us, let's revisit this ancient plea. Have we seen God answer this prayer in the lives of the saints? Are we living out that same boldness today? Or has fear crept in. silencing our witness? Let's ignite the flame of boldness anew as we celebrate the lives of those who dared to be different. Join us as we explore the power of prayer and the legacy of faith. Together, let's rediscover our courage and step into the boldness God has equipped us with. Are you ready to ignite a flame of boldness in your heart?

Staff Highlight This Week
In 2017, Timothy's first full-time principal announced his retirement. The School Board began the search for the next principal - with no luck in finding the right fit and deciding to hire an interim principal for a year. A request for names was sent out. Turns out, our own congregation had a retired, but young, principal as a member.
This week's staff highlight features our principal, Ken Holland. He was hired as an interim principal for a year, bound and determined to never take another class in his life. He thought he was content with retirement, doing occasional umpiring and reffing, and hangout (ahem, working) at Planet Fitness. Instead, he found the home he never knew he wanted or needed.
Early adjustments, such as meeting for daily staff devotions and realizing kindergartners don't quite pick up on dripping sarcasm as like high school students do. But there were some similarities too. Everybody loves Lamars donuts, it doesn't matter what age you are. And apparently, waiting too long to use the restroom and racing down the hallway is a character trait in all students regardless of age.
But more importantly, that first year Ken deepened his relationship with God, our Father. Born and raised Lutheran. Ken's children were even confirmed here at Timothy. But in his first year, as principal, he learned he has a favorite Bible verse, a favorite song, a comfort level to lead his staff in devotions and prayer. He could even lead chapel in front of 75 students.
When Ken was hired, he was tasked with helping the school grow. In 2017, TLS had approximately 65-75 full time students. 7 years later K-8 averages 115-120 students/year. He also successfully brought the Early Childhood classrooms and the elementary classrooms together under one roof, as one unified school.
If you have not yet met Ken, stop by the school any morning, He will greet you just like he greets the Preschool-2nd grade students at drop off, with a smile and a fist bump. And, you will be able to see for yourself that TLS is good for Ken and Ken is good for TLS.
Special Voters' Assembly Meeting
There will be a Special Voters' Assembly Meeting on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 11:45am in the Auditorium for the congregation to extend a divine call for Timothy's next Senior Pastor. Biographies of three very qualified pastoral candidates will be presented to the Assembly. A quorum of 40 voting members is required, and the Assembly will vote to extend a call by simple majority. Members must be present to vote.
Your Call Committee has devoted many hours of prayer, interviews, and discussions to the divine call process, and we all continue to pray for God's Will to discern Timothy's next Shepherd. Thank you for participating in this divine call process!
Fall Generosity Emphasis
The GIVE Committee wants to update the congregation about the details of this emphasis. It was decided this week to distribute the 2025 commitment card and return envelope for this emphasis NEXT Sunday, Nov. 10, with emailing the same information on Monday, Nov. 11. The same materials will be available on Sunday, Nov. 17, as well. Members will still return their sealed envelope containing completed commitment card on Nov. 17, 24, or Dec. 1. Thank you for being on mission with Jesus to transform lives through Him with your generous contribution of time, talents, and financial resources.
Pack the Cart for Charity - Middle School Event
Mark your calendars for an exciting opportunity to give back! On November 23rd, our middle school group will head to Walmart to "Pack the Cart" for a great cause.

The unwrapped gift items may be returned to the bin next to the tree by Nov. 4th so that the Christmas Wonderland Shop can be set up for students to shop the week of Dec. 2nd.

Middle School Rake N Run
Our October youth event was a blast.! 16 middle schoolers showed up, and we also had a handful of families/parents come along to rake some leaves and have some fun. We sneaked by 3 homes of individuals from our congregation, piled out of the cars, and raked up their leaves as fast as we could before getting caught. Well, we got caught twice, but it gave us a chance to pray with those individuals! About 1,155 gallons of leaves were raked up and taken away. Following our adventure around town we made our way back to the Compton’s home for a pumpkin-carving contest, dinner, some silly time and, of course, a bonfire. The evening wrapped up in God’s Word as we talked about the gifts God has given to us that allow us to reflect Him in the world around us. Thanks for loving our youth.
Men’s Chorus Event for NYG Youth Recap
As registration begins for the National Youth Gathering, we held our first of three fundraisers. The KC Metro Men’s Chorus came to Timothy to bless us with some incredible music. Over 50 men of varying ages filled the stage and sang a variety of songs that honored our country and our Lord. Approximately 130 folks attended the event, and the generosity of those who attended totaled $2,500 as a free-will offering for the 2025 National Youth Gathering. Thanks to ALL those who helped, who attended, and who gave. We are thankful!

Surviving the Holidays
As the holiday season approaches, it can be an especially difficult time for those coping with the loss of a loved one or navigating the aftermath of a divorce. Timothy offers compassionate support through two specialized programs.
On November 7, from 6:30-8 pm, the church will host a "Surviving the Holidays" GriefShare class in the Music Room for individuals mourning the death of a loved one. This session provides practical guidance and reassurance through video interviews with grief experts and people who have experienced similar losses. Participants will explore strategies for preparing for the holidays, managing relationships, and using the festive season as a healing tool. Additionally, attendees will receive a booklet with over 30 daily readings for ongoing support. Click Here to sign up.
For those dealing with divorce, DivorceCare will meet on November 4 in the Library, from 6:30-8 pm. This session offers valuable insights on handling the emotional complexities of the holidays after a separation, featuring expert advice on navigating challenging emotions and situations. Both programs are designed to equip participants with tools to approach the holiday season with renewed hope and peace.
