First Reading: Colossians 2:6-7 Gospel Reading: John 8:31-36
Growth is celebrated in nearly every area of life, yet Christians can quietly assume that spiritual growth belongs mainly to children, new members, or confirmation students. Adults may feel they have already learned the basics, while churches can confuse increased attendance or expanded facilities with deeper discipleship. Paul’s language in Colossians exposes that assumption. Those who received Christ are called to keep walking in Him—rooted, built up, and established in the faith. Disciples do not graduate from Jesus. They remain learners who are continually formed by His Word. The need for growth becomes especially urgent when storms arrive. Shallow roots may look adequate in pleasant weather, but suffering, cultural pressure, family crisis, temptation, and disappointment reveal what holds us. Timothy’s church and school have the privilege of helping children, families, teachers, members, and leaders grow deep roots in Christ. Facilities may provide classrooms, study areas, and places for faith at home to be strengthened, but space alone cannot create disciples. The creative tension is between growth that is visible and growth that is deep, between consuming religious information and abiding in Jesus’ Word, and between being satisfied with where we are and receiving Christ’s patient invitation to mature. |

We are incredibly grateful to Mary Martha for their generous support of Timothy Lutheran School! Through the donation of three Thrivent Action Team cards, we were able to purchase robots for our students, Chromebook charging carts for our classrooms, and recorders for our music program. In addition, Mary Martha raised additional funds to support our Teachers Pay Teachers account, giving our teachers access to even more resources for their classrooms. Thank you, Mary Martha, for supporting our students, teachers, and school. Your generosity is such a blessing to Timothy Lutheran School, and we are so thankful for you! |

Timothy Lutheran School is excited to host its 10th Annual Walk-A-Thon on Friday, September 25, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. This special event brings our school family together for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and support for an important school improvement project.
As we celebrate this year's theme, "Rooted in Christ" from Colossians 2:6-7, we are reminded that when our faith is firmly planted in Jesus, we can grow, serve, and accomplish great things together. The Walk-A-Thon is a wonderful opportunity for our students to put that spirit into action while supporting their school community. This year's fundraiser will help purchase a much-needed canopy shade tent for the big-kid playground, providing additional comfort and protection for students during outdoor activities. All Timothy Lutheran School students will participate by walking laps around the school's parking lots and collecting pledges from family members, friends, and supporters.
You can support Timothy Lutheran School by making a donation or sharing the fundraiser with others. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us move closer to our goal and makes a meaningful difference for our students. Together, let's show what it means to be Rooted in Christ, growing in faith, community, and generosity. Thank you for supporting Timothy Lutheran School and helping make this year's Walk-A-Thon a success! 🍃✝️👟
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him..." Colossians 2:6-7. |

A big thank-you to everyone who has participated in the Box Tops for Education program! Every receipt scanned help provides valuable support for Timothy Lutheran School. We're excited to share that since the start of the current school year on July 1, TLS has already earned $195.60 through Box Tops. Even more exciting, our total earnings for the previous school year, which ended on June 30, reached $689.40. What a wonderful blessing and a testament to the support of our Timothy family! If you haven't joined Box Tops yet, now is the perfect time. It's easy to get started: 1. Scan the QR code. 2. Download the Box Tops app. 3. Select Timothy Lutheran School. 4. Scan your first receipt. The best part? Your receipt does not need to include Box Tops products to qualify for the new-user bonus. When you scan your first receipt by September 30, Timothy Lutheran School will receive $10. Looking for another easy way to help? Connect your Walmart account to the Box Tops app. TLS will receive an additional $5 when you make your first Walmart purchase after linking your account. These simple steps can make a big difference in supporting our students and school programs. Thank you for helping Timothy Lutheran School continue to grow and thrive! Just scan the QR code to get started today! |
