On the Mission with Jesus
Acts offers more than history; it reflects the Spirit's ongoing work within the church. We'll examine how early believers faced challenges, built community, and boldly shared the gospel—experiences relevant to us today.
With a dedicated reading plan, we’ll explore the stories of Peter, Paul, and others, learning how the Holy Spirit empowered them and how He can empower us. We’ll find practical ways to apply these lessons to our lives and become effective witnesses for Christ.
Follow along with our sermon series and weekly Prepare for Worship emails for reading assignments. Let’s be inspired by the early church's courage and faith and ignite a fresh wave of God’s Kingdom.
This week’s reading: Chapter 14
The Book of Acts details the early church's dynamic growth, showcasing ordinary people doing extraordinary things through the Holy Spirit. Over 13 weeks, we'll see the birth of a movement that reshaped the world.

Fall Generosity Emphasis
We praise God for his steadfast love and grace as He walks beside us to transform lives through Christ. As we walk with Jesus on His mission, we pray the Holy Spirit will open more and more doors for us to offer our time, talents, and resources to share His love. We have so much to be thankful for, both within our personal families and our church family, and we pray our generous response within and through both will further His kingdom near and far.
As we draw closer to the new year, Timothy's GIVE Commission urges the congregation to respond to God's generosity with hearts full of gratitude. Biblical generosity is our response to God's abundant blessings. As the ultimate Giver, He invites us to reflect His love by generously giving as He has generously given to us. In the upcoming weeks, you will learn more about the goals of Timothy's Fall Generosity Emphasis. Please pray how you can support Timothy's growing ministries in 2025, not only through volunteerism of time and talents, but also through a personal financial pledge to do all we can to serve and honor Him. To God Be All the Glory!

This Week's Staff Highlight
Psalm 96 invites us to “Sing to the Lord a new song,” a spirit embodied by our Vocal Music teacher, Beckie Hatcher, at Timothy Lutheran School. Her dual role in teaching second grade and music education makes a profound impact.
Colleagues praise her for her dedication and love for music, noting how her programs reflect the love of Christ and inspire service. "As Principal, I value Mrs. Hatcher’s energy and innovative approach to sharing God’s word through music. She leads our Christmas and Spring programs, tirelessly preparing students to showcase their talents." per Principal Ken Holland. Through her guidance, students learn to express their gifts and uplift others in praise and prayer.
Thank you, Mrs. Hatcher, for filling our hallways with the joyful sounds of children’s voices. Your expertise and positivity are truly appreciated!

Opportunity to Serve
Four years ago, Timothy's Next Generation Task Force Teams studied several aspects of consolidating to one campus. Timothy's Executive Board seeks to reconvene one of these task forces, Construction Task Force (aka "Building Committee"), to study the feasibility of Timothy's current expansion plan. The original task force members willing to continue in this service are Gary Flandermeyer, Louie Wilbers, Tyler Shaffer, and Gary Williams. If you would like to join this current task force and/or have questions, please contact Diane Mayfield ( dianem@timothylutheran.com) by October 20. Thank you!
