On Mission with Jesus
Acts offers more than history; it reflects the Spirit's ongoing work within the church. We'll examine how early believers faced challenges, built community, and boldly shared the gospel—experiences relevant to us today.
With a dedicated reading plan, we’ll explore the stories of Peter, Paul, and others, learning how the Holy Spirit empowered them and how He can empower us. We’ll find practical ways to apply these lessons to our lives and become effective witnesses for Christ.
Follow along with our sermon series and weekly Prepare for Worship emails for reading assignments. Let’s be inspired by the early church's courage and faith and ignite a fresh wave of God’s Kingdom.
This week’s reading: Chapter 21-23
The Book of Acts details the early church's dynamic growth, showcasing ordinary people doing extraordinary things through the Holy Spirit. Over 13 weeks, we'll see the birth of a movement that reshaped the world.

Pasts Are Never for Nothing
Our pasts can be a haunting shadow. Mistakes, regrets and pain can cast a long and dark spell. But what if those very shadows could be transformed into something beautiful? Paul, the apostle, knew this firsthand. His history was marked by darkness, yet God's grace turned it into a beacon of hope. Every scar, every failure, became a canvas for God's redemptive artistry. Let's come together to explore the incredible power of God's redemption. Let's find hope in our stories, strength in our weaknesses, and purpose in our pain. Are you ready to discover the beauty in your brokenness? Join us as we celebrate the God who specializes in second chances.

Dear brothers and sisters of Timothy Lutheran Church,
During a time like this we learn how much our church family and friends really mean to us. We have been richly blessed and overwhelmed with all your thoughts, words of encouragement, prayers, cards and presence at Ben's funeral. We are so very grateful at this most difficult time.
Thank you,

Staff Highlight This Week
We are proud to celebrate Mr. Hutton, who joined Timothy Lutheran School as our Social Studies teacher and is now entering his second full year on staff. Balancing work, family, and the responsibilities of raising four children, Mr. Hutton earned his teaching certification with remarkable dedication. His commitment and passion have made him an invaluable part of our school’s growth since he arrived.
Mr. Hutton is also on a meaningful faith journey, seeking to deepen his understanding and commitment as a Lutheran school educator. Through his pursuit of colloquy, he has aligned more closely with LCMS teachings, strengthening both his role and our school’s LCMS accreditation. We are grateful for his leadership and the positive impact he brings to our students and the entire Timothy community.

Special Voters' Assembly Meeting
Please plan to attend the Special Voters' Meeting on Nov. 17, at 11:45am in the Auditorium, for the sole purpose of extending a divine call for Timothy's next senior pastor. Biographies of three very qualified candidates will be presented to the Assembly. Per MO District President, Rev. Lee Hagan, no information in any form may be disseminated about any of the candidates prior to the meeting, and voters must be present to vote. A quorum of 40 voting members is required, and the Assembly will vote to call by simple majority on a secret ballot. Votes will be tabulated and results shared before adjournment.
Your Call Committee has devoted many hours of prayer, interviews, and discussions to the divine call process, and we all continue to pray for God's Will to discern Timothy's next Shepherd. Thank you for participating in this process. To God Be the Glory!

Fall Generosity Emphasis
This Sunday, worshipers will receive a 2025 commitment card inside a white envelope as they enter the auditorium. During the offering time, Pastor Rod will discuss this emphasis and remind worshipers to return the completed card in the sealed & signed envelope starting next Sun., Nov. 17, through Sun., Dec. 1. This information will also be emailed to the congregation on Mon., Nov. 11, and available in worship on Nov. 17 as well. Commitment cards may also be dropped off at front desk or mailed to the church during the week. Your commitment is a personal promise between you and your Lord and will not be opened to record or assist in the budget process. Thank you for being on mission with Jesus to transform lives through Timothy's ministries.
