Throughout Lent, Holy Week, and Resurrection Sunday, we saw how Jesus gathered people around a table to share a meal and teach them about the Kingdom of God. Today, following a simple meal at the side of the lake, Jesus calls Peter aside to prepare him because the time was coming when Jesus would ascend into heaven, but the meals wouldn’t end. No, instead Jesus called Peter to be His representative and to continue to “feed my sheep.” While Peter’s calling from Jesus was unique to care for the church, it sets before us an invitation, that all who know the blessing of being at the Lord’s table are called to go out and share with others and invite others to the feast that has no end. Can we do it? Will we do it?
When You’re Not Ready, Jesus Shows Up Anyway
We had a big move in our family this week. Decisions needed to be made, what to take and what to sell. Inside I was saying, “We aren’t ready.” Moving is incredibly hard. No one talks about the emotional side. It takes a lot of grace to get through. That’s when I hear the gentle reminder of Jesus’ words to His friend Martha when she was worked up at her own overwhelm: “There is need of only one thing” (Luke 10:42)
That one thing is always and everywhere to see the face of Christ in the people around us. The sacred image-bearer of the divine that walks with us makes decisions and helps us move the obstacles before us. We remember that our most important, loving actions on any given day are often when we let ourselves get interrupted by God. We might never feel ready, but Jesus shows up anyway. What a gift when we remember that we can show up with compassion for each other, too.
Church Matters
Resurrection Sunday is the pinnacle of our faith and the amazing work of Christ on our behalf. But it isn’t the end. As Jesus stepped out of that tomb, He spent the next 40 days preparing His disciples to be the bricklayers for building His church. And then on Pentecost, He entrusted them with His Holy Spirit to carry on the task.
Today, we still take part in this incredible thing called the church. Yet, at times, we forget what it’s all about or what matters within the church. As we continue our transition here at Timothy, we will take time this spring to let the Lord remind us what matters to Him within His church. To do that, we will work our way through the book of 1 Timothy.
1 Timothy is a letter written by the Apostle Paul to a young pastor named Timothy as he navigates the church he has been called to lead. In this letter, Paul reminds both Timothy and the church of some incredibly important things that keep the church grounded in its identity.
Our series will be called “Church Matters.” We are eager to spend April and May studying together some of the things that matter within the church so that we might continue to pursue the calling of God and rejoice that we get to be a part of His church.
A Celebration of Faith, Unity, and Community
At Timothy Lutheran Church, the Lenten Season was a vibrant celebration that brought our faith community together as one. The Dining with Jesus mid-week services were well-attended and received, carrying over into packed services on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Easter Sunday services were also successful in bringing together congregation members and the wider community in a joyous and meaningful observance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. All Holy Week services were characterized by heartfelt worship, inspiring sermons, and beautiful music, providing worshipers with opportunities for reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth.
This week would have not been possible without the visionary leadership of the dedicated staff and volunteers at Timothy Lutheran. Their unwavering commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and spiritually enriching environment set the stage for a truly memorable Easter celebration this week. As we reflect on the Easter season, we are filled with gratitude for the blessings of faith, fellowship, and service experienced at Timothy Lutheran.
Mr. Holland Accepts Call
At the Annual Voters’ Assembly Meeting in January, the voters approved the motion from the School Board, with support from the Board of Elders and Executive Board, to extend a divine call to TLS School Administrator Ken Holland as a LCMS-rostered School Principal. Over the past few months, all paperwork has been completed and approved for this process to continue. Last week, Ken officially accepted the call, and now Timothy awaits word from the MO District that Ken’s installation can occur during a worship service in the near future. We praise God and give Him glory for Ken’s service to Timothy. Below is Ken’s letter to the congregation.
“Dear Members of Timothy,
It is with joy that I can report the acceptance of the call to Timothy Lutheran Church to serve as Timothy Lutheran School Principal. With firm conviction, I believe God wants me to participate in ministry with you. What a special blessing for me!
May our loving and gracious God bless our efforts in ministry together.
In Christ,
Ken Holland”

Supporting Haiti
In the midst of turmoil and uncertainty, a beacon of hope continues to shine in the town of Jacmel, Haiti. While the country grapples with unrest and violence, the church in Jacmel stands as a testament to resilience and unwavering faith. Despite the challenges they face, the community remains steadfast in their commitment to serve and uplift one another.
Recent reports may paint a grim picture of Haiti, with images of rioting and gangs dominating the headlines, particularly in the capital city of Port-au-Prince. However, it’s important to note that Jacmel, nestled along the southern coast, remains relatively calm amidst the chaos. The church in Jacmel is safe, providing solace and support to its members during these trying times.
However, behind the scenes, a different challenge looms large for the congregation. Ministry in Mission, a vital source of support for the church, has encountered financial difficulties. For several years, Ministry in Mission was giving the church $2000 per month to pay their pastors, secretary, and musicians but recently stopped. Timothy Lutheran’s tithe was originally designated for the support of the church in other ways; it will now be directed to these ministry leaders to aid in the support of their church. Timothy’s Lutheran’s original tithe went to building this church building.

It’s been a journey this Lent, sharing a table with Jesus, learning from Jesus, watching Jesus. That seemingly came to an end for the disciples though when Jesus’ lifeless body was laid in a tomb, but on this day, this Resurrection Sunday, we know that our Redeemer Lives! We celebrate that Christ has risen from the grave. And You know what we find this risen Lord doing? Sharing meals! So before we sit around the table with family today let us encounter this risen and hungry Lord.
When It Feels Like You’re Wilting
The righteous thrive like a palm tree and grow like a cedar tree in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the Lord, they thrive in the courts of our God. Psalm 92:12-13
These past few weeks, I haven’t been taking as much time reading my Bible. I see it sitting next to my chair, but I am just so busy right now. I have a list of reasons, and all of those reasons are legitimate. But without any time spent with Jesus, all of those reasons are slowly emptying me. A few days ago, as I was sitting on my bed, I told Jesus, “I feel like I’m withering like I’m shriveling right up.” If I were a flower, it would be a wilted one.
Jesus is the real source, the One who takes our shriveled-up selves and breathes life into us, allowing us to slowly, slowly begin to work our way from wilted flowers to people who can flourish — Without Him, we are empty. Only when we lay ourselves down, when we give Him our worries and fears and anxieties can we finally be full.
So join me on a return journey, praying and reading our Bibles. So we are a people, no longer wilting. Our circumstances may remain the same, but our roots can vastly change. Jesus: the Rock who is the One who can forever sustain us.
Easter Sunday

Maundy Thursday Service
At the heart of Maundy Thursday service is the celebration of Holy Communion. As we gather this Thursday, let’s welcome the Early Communion Class to join us during Holy Communion.
They spent 4 weeks learning about The Lord’s Supper and now will be joining us at the altar.
Celebrating Easter at Timothy
As you enter the auditorium this Sunday, you’ll notice the long Easter banners hanging on the walls on either side of the stage. Thanks to Don and Gary for completing this process.Timothy is excited to announce a new opportunity to enhance worshipers’ experience during this joyous season. Recognizing the parking challenges on busy church days, we are proud to introduce a convenient solution: a golf cart service to assist worshipers parking in the church lots or along either side of Lincoln Avenue. Please do not park any further west than 6th Street.
One of the golf carts on Sunday will be a loaner, driven by Louie Wilburs. We also thank Louie for loaning his cart as a second vehicle for Easter Sunday. We are committed to enhancing the worship experience for our congregation and guests as well as providing a vehicle for staff to transport supplies to and from outdoor storage facilities rather then using their personal vehicles.

Organizations Grateful for Timothy’s Tithes
Thank you, Timothy, for continuing to support our commitment to tithing 10% of all general contributions to various local, regional, and international organizations. Below are excerpts from letters received recently. Watch for more thank-you’s next week!
From The Apple of His Eye Mission Society: “It is hard to believe that the war in Israel continues after the attack took place on October 7, 2023, the same day our firstborn, Micha, went to be with the Lord following a 12-year battle with Huntington’s Disease. The challenges in Israel have opened doors of cooperation and communication among many Israelis and Messianic believers, leading to numerous witnessing conversations about Y’shua….Our ministry is now in its 28th year, and we move forward because many caring, praying friends like you give us a vote of confidence through your sacrificial mission support. Thank you so much on behalf of all of us at The Apple of His Eye! Your co-laborer in Christ, Steve Cohen, Founder”
From Community Services League: “Thank you for your recent gift to CSL. Your support allows us to maintain neighborhood-based social services that are accessible and helpful to families. Just two of our accomplishments the past year that your generosity helped support is the assistance to more than 20,000 individuals in need and provision of tuition-free job training for more than 200 people, with 80% of them moving onto jobs that doubled their household income. Thank you for your continued support. Jennifer Hurst, Chief Development Officer”
From Mission Central, Serving the Lord Jesus & Representing The Office of National & International Missions of LCMS: “It is such a blessing to hear from you and receive your gift of love for the mission work of our dear Lord Jesus! Your gift is helping to make baptisms happen around the world by our dear missionaries. Sharing the wonderful sacrament of baptism with people in total darkness is such a special blessing, knowing that we will see these people with us in our real home in heaven. Thank you! Your Co-workers for our Savior, Gary & Maxine Thiess”
From POLBO International Ministries: “Thank you for your generous donation to POBLO International! Your financial partnership is a great blessing an allows us to continue meeting the physical, social, and spiritual needs of Muslims and other immigrants and refugees in the United States by sharing the love of Jesus with them in practical and relevant ways. Rev. Farrukh Khan, Development Director”
From Mother’s Refuge: “Thank you for supporting Mother’s Refuge. Your gift will enable us to continue our mission of helping homeless, pregnant young moms and their babies. Your compassion does not go unnoticed. Thanks to your generosity and the generosity of others, Mother’s Refuge has provided a loving home and services for more than 2,100 young moms and babies since 1987. We currently have a full Maternity Home and Transitional Living Program with 14 moms & 18 children. Your support allows us to wrap around these families. Together, we are making a positive impact in the lives of those most vulnerable in our community. With gratitude, Angel McDonald, Executive Director”
From Hillcrest Transitional Housing: “Thank you so much for supporting Hillcrest. When organizations sponsor a Hillcrest apartment as Timothy does, we are able to provide families with stability, warmth, and security–A HOME. They’re saving money, learning budgeting and life skills, and working so hard to reach self-sufficiency. Hillcrest walks with them every step of the way. Your support makes this possible. Thank you! Barbara Fitzgerald, Vice President of Development”

Setbacks are an inevitable part of life, but they can be incredibly demoralizing, especially when they are caused by others. As we examine God’s people attempting to get back on track, we can observe that some of the most destructive trouble to the people comes from within their own community. So, how do we deal with it?
Devotion: How to Find Strength in Surrender
“I DO IT!” Toddlers love declaring their independence as they navigate the world. I’ll admit, I’ve caught myself echoing that sentiment more times than I can count – as an adult. Something is appealing about the idea of doing things on our terms and proving our capabilities to the world.
It’s a lesson that echoes throughout the pages of Scripture. Take the story of Abraham — a man whose faith defied logic and who chose to hope against hope in the face of impossibility. Abraham’s hope wasn’t rooted in his accomplishments but in God’s promise. Romans 4:13 It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.
God didn’t work in Abraham’s life because Abraham had proven himself perfect and capable, solid and without need for help. Perhaps God worked in Abraham’s life specifically because it didn’t make sense – because God does what God does with open arms that invite us in. And that is grace.
Imagine waking up in the morning and embracing a reality where our worth isn’t hinged on what we can (or can’t) do but on whom God is — a life where we find comfort in a loving Creator who journeys alongside us, catching us with the open arms of grace.
Imagine a life where your “I DO IT!” is replaced with the loving whisper of God saying, “I will do it alongside you.”
Discovery Class
Starts March 12th Have you ever wondered if there’s more to life than what we see?
Are you searching for a connection that transcends the everyday, a love that surpasses all understanding? If so, then our Discovery Class is for you.
In this warm and welcoming space, we’ll embark on a captivating journey together, exploring the Bible’s message of unconditional love, hope, and purpose. Discover how this message can bring peace, meaning, and guidance to your life, no matter where you are on your faith journey. Whether you’re a seasoned believer or just starting your quest, we invite you to join us on this transformative exploration. You’ll find a supportive community of fellow seekers, eager to share their stories and learn alongside you. Don’t let your questions hold you back. This class is designed for open hearts and curious minds. We’ll delve into the foundations of the Christian faith and the Lutheran confessions in a way that’s easy to understand and engaging.
Please join your brothers and sisters in Christ on Wednesdays during Lent in the Auditorium for Dining with Jesus meals (6-6:30pm) followed by family-oriented interactions (6:30-7pm) for worship, fellowship, and a snippet of what Jesus has for us. Why around a table? Because that’s where Jesus often did His most important ministry. As a matter of fact, throughout Scriptures, we see meals being a beautiful place where God does some amazing stuff. So we are going to dive into the Gospel of Luke where we will find Jesus not only sitting with those who loved Him but also with those who hated Him. We will hear some powerful red letter words, and we will wrestle with what it means to be sustained by God’s Word. This series will carry us through Lent, Holy Week, and Resurrection Sunday.
Mar. 13, 6pm: Provided by GATHER Commission (menu: pancakes, sausage, fruit, coffee, juice, & water); freewill offering to support upgrades to the gathering area in the 4G’s

It seems like every time we blink, something is changing at Timothy lately. Not only that, but there is a lot of hurt, loss, concern, and grief stirring within many of us. And we are left in a heap of confusion. Let’s be honest—there are those who are disgruntled, those who are saddened, those who have stopped supporting ministry at Timothy, and those who are thinking about leaving. So what do men and women of faith do? We turn towards the God who loves and cares for us. We turn toward the one who promises renewal and restoration. That’s what we will do together through March 24th. We will tune into the books of Ezra and Nehemiah to be reminded that we worship a God who restores His people in the midst of their confusion, chaos, and grief. We will also ask the Lord to restore us: restore our hope, restore our focus, restore maybe even our faith. We invite you to join us and even come prepared! Here’s a suggested reading plan for our season of Lent:

Timothy Lutheran School Auction
Saturday, February 24, was a night that made history. Timothy Lutheran School held its annual auction at Adams Pointe Conference Center. It was a masquerade ball with the theme “A Night in Disguise”, but there was no disguising that every guest came to support the scholarship fund.
The annual event had a record-breaking number of tickets sold, just topping 200, with a record-breaking over $40,000 for the TLS scholarship fund. This amazing amount will help so many students get the Christian education they so very much want, need, and crave.
A giant THANK YOU to everyone who donated items, services, sponsorships, attended, and bid. This event would not have reached its success without all of you!
Give the Glory to God!

We meet Nehemiah today who carries a prestigious role as cupbearer to the king. Despite his status, he is grieved by the news of what’s happening in Jerusalem. So how does he respond, and how are we called to respond to the brokenness around us?
Devotion: “Life Doesn’t Have to Be a Battle “
You hear it coming as the voices rise, “It’s my turn”…“I had it first” … “But now it’s my turn, GRANDMA!” It doesn’t matter if it’s a 5-year-old, 8-year-old, 13-year-old or 15-year- old. The message is the same, and the battle begins as they fight to get their way.
I’m reminded of so many figures in the Bible who forced things, too. Sarah was afraid of not conceiving and forced her husband to sleep with her servant, Hagar. Moses used force, Judah used force, and Peter used force — all when they were faced with a fearful situation. But when we react to our fear by forcing our way forward, we usually end up hurting ourselves or others.
Life doesn’t have to be a battle. We don’t have to fight to get ahead or fear falling behind. Instead, we can surrender. We can let go of life on our terms. As fear rises, we can refuse to put on our boxing gloves and instead lean on Jesus. Like a litany, we can live these words: soul, be still. “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.” Isaiah 12:2 NIV

Are you searching for a connection that transcends the everyday, a love that surpasses all understanding? If so, then our Discovery Class is for you.

Consolidation & Other Updates
The City of Blue Springs Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday Mar. 25th, concerning Timothy’s building project. The Public Hearing Sign is erected at the Wyatt Road entrance.
Building materials for the storage building were delivered yesterday, Feb. 29, to avoid another price increase effective today, March 1.
Plans are in motion to modify the parking lot island to allow additional, easier access to the south entrance soon after Easter. Expected to take one or two days, the goal is to start the work on a Monday to be ready for foot traffic the following Sunday.
As the consolidation process moves forward, leadership and staff encourage members to express their One Campus Questions as well as Consolidation Success Stories. Click here for One Campus Questions. Click here for Consolidation Success Stories.
Thank you!
One Campus Questions:
The following questions were submitted this week.
1. Is it possible to add something to the auditorium and/or sound system to better accommodate worshipers with hard of hearing concerns? Response: Possible solutions for this situation are now being researched.
2. How much are the retired pastors being paid? Response: It is not appropriate to publish this information in Timothy Connects which is posted to Timothy’s website each week and therefore on the Internet for anyone to read.
3. Have we reached out to the District for an interim pastor? Response: Timothy has contacted the MO District for support. There is currently a significant shortage of pastors as several churches have vacancies, but the District will provide a list to support Timothy’s ministries.
4. If we want to be on the Call Committee, how do we sign up? Response:
A Call Committee will be formed of 7-9 members, as recommended by MO District President Lee Hagan. This Call Committee, unlike our last call committee, will include representatives from the Executive Elders Board, Executive Board, and School Board. The committee may seek input and consultation from other interested members throughout this process. All of the members of Timothy congregation will be invited to play a role in the Divine Call process. Serving on the Call Committee will require a considerable time commitment and dedication during the next 12-18 months. More to come as the call process continues.
Consolidation Success Stories
The first Dining with Jesus was truly a success with 156 attending. What a blessing this is that we can come together under one roof and praise Jesus! LWML did a fantastic job serving the first dinner for Lent, and the food was wonderful as usual.
LWML stated they were so happy to be able to watch the funeral from the 4G’s on the TV’s. This was great so they could prepare the food for the luncheon and be part of the funeral.

As many Israelites make their way back to the Promised Land, the first thing we find them doing is building an altar. Within them is this deep desire to worship and be near to the Lord. However, after their sinful past will the Lord meet with them?
Devotion: “What Good Can Come of This “
Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” (Timothy’s at one site?) Philip said to him, “Come and see.” John 1:46
I don’t know if you were able to attend services on February 11th , but Timothy Church had a real treat which was enhanced by our current single site for both services. Singing Saints from St Paul’s Lutheran High School blessed our worship through song, bringing an amazing energy to both worship services. We were able to utilize them at both traditional and contemporary because we worship at a single site. Yes, GOD is doing marvelous things through our current worship isn’t it wonderful to be a part of?

FaithRoots teachers (Sunday morning children’s ministry, either service, once monthly): Materials and training provided
The following letter from If Not for Grace arrived this week: “Friends and partners in ministry at Timothy Lutheran Church, Thank you so much for your generous support. Your donation will help us to meet the needs of women, men, and families that have been in bondage from an abortion in their lives. Our mission is to enable those impacted by abortion to live authentic, abundant lives so they can walk in freedom while serving in their God-given purpose. We thank you sincerely for your contribution toward this mission. Jeff Edlund”
Consolidation & Other Updates
A joint leadership meeting will occur on Tues., Feb. 27, to discuss next steps in the Divine Call process to call Timothy’s next Senior Pastor, including direction from MO District President Hagan and development of a congregational survey for that purpose.
The City of Blue Springs Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Mon., Mar. 11th, concerning Timothy’s building project. The Public Hearing Sign is erected at the Wyatt Road entrance.
As the consolidation process moves forward, leadership and staff encourage members to express their One Campus Questions as well as Consolidation Success Stories. Click here for One Campus Questions. Click here for Consolidation Success Stories. Thank you!
Consolidation Success Story The following Consolidation Success Story was submitted last Thursday evening after the Timothy Connects weekly deadline. Please note that two additional Success Story submissions this week contained no content. Feel free to re-submit and/or call the church office for assistance.
“I used to miss my friends who attended services at the Wyatt Campus because a 9am service seems to fit our lifestyle more often than not. But now that we have consolidated the campus, I get to run into them arriving for second service while I’m leaving the first! A couple weeks ago, I ran into a young mom whom I hadn’t seen since she compete in sports against my now grown daughters (Trinity vs. Immanuel) and we realized we’ve lived only a few blocks from each other the past five years!”
The following questions were submitted this week. The first one below came in last Friday afternoon; the second one came in Tuesday this week. Both are included even though similar.
Are our retired pastors being paid to assist Pastor Ryan? Was the assistance of the elders requested before asking our retired pastors to help? Or did we just default to them? Response: Our retired pastors are receiving some compensation, but their volunteer efforts are far greater and beyond any compensation that is being offered. We are grateful for their willingness to serve. Each offered his services before being approached. The elders are volunteering their time and talents to assist as well in areas that they are trained and available. All options have been and will continue to be considered to support Pastor Ryan. The elders, along with Pastor Ryan and retired pastors, have collaborated to fill the many ministry roles at Timothy.
Please clarify what roles the two retired pastors will have, how many hours per week they are assisting, and whether they are being paid. Response: Pastor Ryan meets regularly with Pastors Lieb and Rod to discuss ways in which they can support him and moving ministries forward. The tasks listed below are some of the areas in which they are serving:
Pastor Rod: Worship planning (slides, announcements) for Sunday and Wednesday services, preaching on Sunday once monthly, funerals as appropriate, and leading upcoming Discovery Class
Pastor Lieb: Weekly meetings with Care Coordinator, hospital visits, homebound visits, member visits as appropriate
They do not “log” their hours as ministry needs vary often. Their focus encompasses helping where they can regardless of the time required to do so. NOTE: Other ways in which members can help Pastor Ryan with ministry is to volunteer assistance with children & youth ministry activities.

Israel finds themselves in a traumatic and uncertain place. So much has changed as their homeland has been destroyed, the temple burned, families separated, and now they are living in captivity in a foreign land. As daunting as it may seem, we are invited in this text to step back and see God’s fingerprints through this season of Israel’s life. He never left them, nor does He leave us.
Devotion: “I Meet God at Walmart “
I meet God at Walmart. Like the day when I was blocking the soup aisle, I apologized to the elderly woman waiting to pass through. Robed in a trench coat, she smiled at me and said something like, “Galatians chapter five, verse twenty-two . . . patience. We’ve got to live it out”.
“Amen,” I said as she slowly stepped past as if she were walking down the aisle towards the doors of a sanctuary. “I believe it!” I replied. God works at Walmart.
God meets us at Walmart, which is to say, God meets us in our ordinary days. He is beautifully weaving through our daily lives, appearing in trench coats at gas stations, in parks, in car rides to school and work, and even in Walmart. The divine comes in subtle ways we’re likely to miss. And most often we do. Most often, we are so focused on our plan for the day that we miss those moments. So, by grace, we need to open our eyes to see the hidden workings of God. And, oh, there is so much good to see.
Early Communion Class
Maybe the time is right for your 5th-8th grader to receive the Lord’s Supper. If that is stirring in their heart, we encourage you to join us for Early Communion Class. This 4-week class, starting this Sunday, Feb. 18, at 4pm in the Music Room, preps our young people to receive this beautiful gift. One parent/guardian/mentor is expected to attend with the kiddo. Please contact Pastor Ryan with questions.
Lent 2024
Please join your brothers and sisters in Christ on Wednesdays during Lent (Feb. 21 through Mar. 20) in the Auditorium for Dining with Jesus meals (6-6:30pm) followed by family-oriented interactions (6:30-7pm) for worship, fellowship, and a snippet of what Jesus has for us.

Upcoming Sermon Series
It seems like every time we blink, something is changing at Timothy lately. Not only that, but there is a lot of hurt, loss, concern, and grief stirring within many of us. And we are left in a heap of confusion. Let’s be honest—there are those who are disgruntled, those who are saddened, those who have stopped supporting ministry at Timothy, and those who are thinking about leaving. So what do men and women of faith do? We turn towards the God who loves and cares for us. We turn toward the one who promises renewal and restoration. That’s what we will do together starting this Sunday through March 24th.
Prior to this Sunday: Ezra Chapter 1
Prior to February 25: Ezra Chapter 3
Prior to March 3: Nehemiah Chapters 1&2
Prior to March 10: Ezra 4:21-5:2 & Nehemiah 4:10-15, 5:1-12, & Nehemiah 6:10-14
Prior to March 17: Nehemiah 8:9-18
Prior to March 24: Nehemiah Chapter 10

“Dear Members of Timothy Lutheran Church,
Thank you so much for your generosity in continuing to regularly support me as a missionary here in Hong Kong. I am ever so grateful to you. Since we need to find our own funding for our mission work, that means a lot to me. Your donations help so very, very much. Your care and generosity in helping me financially really touches me. Thank you again and again.

Consolidation & Other Updates
Timothy’s staff and leadership are blessed to utilize help from Pastors Lieb and Rod to assist Pastor Ryan and other staff in moving forward with ministries. We thank Jon Kraft for leading the Tuesday morning Adult Bible Class through Easter as they delve into I & II Kings.

At its monthly meeting this past Monday, the Board of Elected Elders started discussion about the call process for a senior pastor. Direction from the MO District Office and Timothy’s circuit visitor will assist in this process.
Worshipers are reminded to reserve the handicapped parking spaces and at least the first row of regular spaces along both the south and west sides of church for those with mobility concerns. Thank you!
The west doors are unlocked on Sunday mornings from 8am-9:20am and from 10am-10:50am for entrance into church from west parking lot. Those doors are locked during other Sunday morning times for safety and security considerations, particularly since FaithRoots classes meet in the classrooms in that hallway.
A coat rack is available along the west wall of the lobby. A container in the vestibule entrance for umbrellas will be available soon.
The Festival Committee freezer truck was moved from RD Mize to storage at Pointe of Hope. Timothy thanks Pointe of Hope very much!
As the consolidation process moves forward, leadership and staff encourage members to express their One Campus Questions. Feel free to click here One Campus Questions. Responses will be included in upcoming issues of Timothy Connects and on Sunday mornings as time allows.
Thank you! The following questions were submitted this week:
The following questions were submitted this week:
“Will there be some sort of review done on service times? They seem to be running over each other so far.” “Need an hour between services, no parking for seniors, services run long causing a parking problem.” Response: Leadership is aware of these situations. We do not want to make minor or major changes until we completely understand the situation and the options available to resolve the problem. One option to address the parking situation is to utilize volunteers as parking attendants to help worshipers find open spaces and enter the building, as needed. More time is needed to assess the new format regarding service times and length of services. Thank you for your patience.
“Can a row of chairs be placed against the back wall for ushers and worship assistants?” Response: Yes. As of last Sunday, a row of 6-8 chairs was placed in front of the bleacher inside the Auditorium south entrance for this purpose. Reserved signs will be placed on the chairs for this purpose.
