This Maundy Thursday, we hear Christ’s tender yet urgent call to return to our “first love.” In Revelation 2:1–7, Jesus reminds His church that love for Him and love for one another is the heart of discipleship. Join us as we reflect on the love that kneels to wash feet, breaks bread for sinners, and never let’s go.

| Lesson: The Severed Ear (Luke 22:47–52) Life can get hectic, and we all need moments to pause, reconnect, and recharge. That’s why we’re excited to invite you to the next Oasis Family Night on Wednesday, April 8, from 6:00–7:30 PM! This month, our Bible focus will be the powerful moment in Luke 22:47–52, where Jesus heals the servant’s severed ear even amid chaos and betrayal. It’s a striking reminder of His compassion, His refusal to meet violence with violence, and His unwavering commitment to bring healing and restoration—even in the darkest moments. Families will explore this story together as we discover what it means to follow Jesus’ example of grace, peace, and love when life feels tense or overwhelming. Oasis is all about creating a laid back environment where you can find renewal for your soul and reconnect with one another in the middle of a busy week. RSVP today! Click the “Register Here” button or visit our website to sign up so we can plan for food. We can’t wait to share this evening of faith, fellowship, and renewal with you! |

This group is designed to walk alongside moms as they navigate the joys and challenges of motherhood. Together, participants will study Grace in Chaos: Biblical Hope for Hard Days of Motherhood by The Daily Grace Co., a resource that speaks honestly to the demanding seasons many moms face.
Throughout the study, Courtney will lead discussions on topics such as: The Identity Shift — discovering who you are in Christ beyond being “just” a mom Mom Guilt & Comparison — navigating the pressure to be perfect in a social‑media‑driven world Biblical Self‑Care — understanding rest and care as faithful stewardship, not selfishness Finding Peace in the Chaos — leaning on Scripture when life feels loud and overwhelming The Loneliness of Motherhood — building authentic community during isolating seasons
If you’re a mom longing for biblical truth, meaningful conversation, and supportive community, this group is for you. Join us this spring and connect with other moms navigating similar seasons of life.

The Lutheran Urban Mission Association Auxiliary met on March 18 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Independence. The featured speaker for the meeting was Shelby Carpenter from Mothers Refuge, who shared updates on their ministry and mission.
The ingathering for the day focused on non‑perishable food items. In addition, Timothy contributed 100 tuna pouches for sack lunches—generously donated by Blue Springs Price Chopper South. Adding a special touch, the preschool children of King of Kings decorated the luncheon bags with cheerful artwork. |

Throughout April, Timothy Lutheran Church and School is partnering with Hillcrest Transitional Housing to bless families working hard to build stability and a fresh start. We invite our Timothy family to join us in supporting this important ministry through donations of household and hygiene essentials.
A list of Hillcrest’s most-needed items can be found on the donation cart located in the foyer. Your generosity helps ensure that residents have the practical supplies they need as they work toward independence.
Hygiene Kits for Hillcrest Families
In addition to general donations, we are also collecting items for hygiene kits that will be distributed to families entering Hillcrest programs. A special thank‑you goes to Daryl and Becky Fowler for collecting, assembling, and delivering these kits on behalf of Timothy! |

On March 11, two groups from Timothy Lutheran Church participated in the 88.5 Dignity Drive, helping provide essential hygiene items to those in need throughout our community. We’re especially excited to share that the Tuesday Morning Men’s Bible Study was mentioned on-air during the drive—what a wonderful recognition of their generosity and service!
Timothy was also represented on the 88.5 Facebook page, where Rachel Honig was featured proudly wearing her Timothy shirt as she delivered donations on behalf of our church family.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and lived out Christ’s love in our community. Your kindness makes a difference! |
