Vision

Transforming Lives through Christ.

Mission

To nuture and equip people to be transformed followers of Christ.

Core Values

To carry out our mission, build our ministries, and to guide us in the process of raising up disciples who follow Jesus on a life-long journey of faith empowered by the Holy Spirit, Timothy has created these four core areas: Gather, Grow, Give and Go.

The Lord’s Prayer

Jesus taught His disciples to pray, and we continue praying as He taught us:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

We Believe In The Gospel

What We Believe at Timothy Lutheran Church
Together with the universal Christian Church, Timothy Lutheran Church—rooted in the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod—joyfully confesses and responds to the love of the Triune God:

  • God the Father is the almighty Creator of all that exists, sustaining and providing for His creation with grace and purpose.

  • Jesus Christ, the Son of God, took on human flesh to suffer and die for the sins of all people. He rose victoriously from the grave, defeating death and Satan and offering salvation to all who believe.

  • The Holy Spirit works through God’s Word and Sacraments to create and sustain saving faith, calling people into a living relationship with Jesus and equipping them for lives of service and witness.

We believe the three persons of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—are coequal and coeternal, one God, now and forever.

Being Lutheran at Timothy
At Timothy Lutheran Church, we joyfully identify with the Bible-based teachings that Martin Luther emphasized during the Reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. These teachings continue to shape our faith and life today and are summarized in three foundational truths:

  • Grace Alone – We are saved purely by God’s grace—not by anything we do—but as a gift through Jesus Christ.

  • Faith Alone – We receive God’s grace through faith in Jesus, trusting in His life, death, and resurrection for our salvation.

  • Scripture Alone – The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the only source and standard for all Christian teaching and life.

As a congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, we remain committed to these truths and to sharing the love and hope of Jesus in all we do.

Holy Communion

Following the directive of 1 Corinthians 11, please examine yourself before receiving the Lord’s Supper:

  • Do you acknowledge that you are a sinner?
  • Do you believe that Jesus is your personal Savior?
  • Do you recognize the true body and blood of Jesus, present in and with the bread and wine, given and shed for you for the forgiveness of your sins?
  • Do you believe that through this meal, God will strengthen your faith to amend your life?

Baptism

Holy Baptism is the applying of water (by pouring, sprinkling, immersion, etc.) in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is not just the application of water only. However, it is water connected with the command and the Word of God.

Because of this connection, Baptism is a ‘washing of regeneration’ (Titus 3:5), or “being born again” (John 3:3-8). Through Baptism, the Holy Spirit brings forgiveness of sins, faith in Jesus Christ, and eternal salvation (1 Peter 3:21). Baptism is not something we do for God; it is something God does for us. We encourage Baptism for infants, all children, and adults.

The Lutheran Confessions

Drawn from God’s Word, the Lutheran Confessions are a true and binding exposition of Holy Scripture and serve as authoritative texts for all pastors, congregations and other rostered church workers of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

The Apostle’s Creed =====

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day, He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Amen
