Have you ever been to a messed-up church? Chances are, if you’ve been attending church for some time, you have. And these messes in the church turn some people completely away from the church; others just switch churches, and others just slowly become less involved. We are reminded today that while every church indeed has its problems, yet the church is a beautiful mess and Jesus willingly Lord’s over it. We can be thankful He does so in grace and mercy.

Wednesday, November 26 • 6:00 PM
As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re surrounded by reminders to “give thanks”—from children’s drawings to festive decorations and heartfelt conversations around the dinner table. But beyond traditions and table settings, what does it truly mean to live with a heart of gratitude? Join your Timothy family for a meaningful evening of worship, reflection, and thanksgiving. Together, we’ll pause to recognize God’s faithfulness and consider how we can cultivate a spirit of gratitude in every season. This year’s special offering will support Timothy’s Emergency Assistance Fund, helping meet urgent needs within our community. Also, stop by a grab a tag from the Journey to the Manger Giving Tree. Come as you are. Let’s give thanks—together. |

As our Season of Thanks and Renewal continues, we invite you to prayerfully complete your 2026 Pledge of Faith if you haven’t yet done so. Your commitment—of any amount—reflects gratitude for God’s blessings and supports the many ministries that bring faith to life at Timothy. As a reminder, no pledge card is to be returned to the church. Once you’ve made your pledge to God, please stop by the Tree of Thanks in the lobby to pin a leaf to the tree as a visible sign of thanksgiving and unity in our mission. No name is needed on your leaf. Let’s fill our tree with gratitude by November 23! Thank you for sharing in this joyful season of faith, generosity, and renewal.

As the crisp mornings of fall settle in and Thanksgiving approaches, it's time once again for Timothy’s November food drive in support of Jesús El Buen Pastor Lutheran Church in Kansas City. This cherished tradition helps provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need throughout our community. |
|
|
| This year, the church anticipates serving approximately 100 families, each receiving a box of food along with a frozen turkey from Harvesters to help fill their tables with gratitude and warmth. 🛒 How to Participate: Donations may be placed in the grocery cart located in the church lobby, just to the right (east) of the south entry doors. Grocery bags with a suggested food list are available in the cart — simply take one (or more), fill it with your donations, and return it to the same location. 📅 Deadline for Donations: Please bring your filled bags no later than Tuesday, November 18th. Gary Flandermeyer will be dropping these off November 19th. (Make sure to thank him when you see him. Thank you for your continued support of this vital ministry. Your generosity helps bless not only the families of Jesús El Buen Pastor but also strengthens our shared mission of compassion and care. 🙏 Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Thanksgiving season! |
