Volunteer exhaustion is not a sign of failure but a sign that the mission needs to be shared. We encounter that reality today in our text as we see Moses wearing down. It took Jethro to show him a better structure. At the end of the day ministry isn’t just the pastor’s job; the body is called to serve together.

Over the past couple of years, we have been blessed to welcome several individuals and families who have either transferred their membership to Timothy or wish to do so from other Lutheran congregations. We are grateful that God has brought you into the Timothy Lutheran Church and School family! To officially welcome and install our new transfer members, we invite you to attend a one-night Membership Transfer Class led by Pastor Kendall on Wednesday, June 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. During this class, we will share more about life and ministry at Timothy and prepare for your official installation as members. Transfer members will be formally welcomed during the worship services on Sunday, June 21. If you would like to participate, please contact Pastor Kendall, Pastor Rod, or click the button to sign up. Timothy’s Pairs & Spares ministry invites adults ages 55 and older to connect, laugh, and enjoy meaningful fellowship together. Whether you’re single or part of a couple, you’ll find a warm and welcoming group eager to build friendships and share life’s journey. Pairs & Spares meets on the third Monday of each month at Pointe of Hope, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Each gathering includes a delicious meal, engaging conversation, and plenty of fun. Pastor Lieb also shares a brief devotional each month, offering encouragement and spiritual insight. |

As your calendars flip to May and the summer months, the Women of Hope leadership team invites Timothy's ladies to mark your calendars for a fun fellowship event again this year! The Powell Gardens Colonial Farms Music in the Gardens free concert series is back on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm in the Courtyard. Join your sisters in Christ (and bring friends!) on June 17. Take in the live music in a relaxed, open‑air setting while enjoying fresh salads, sandwiches, desserts, and drinks available for purchase inside the garden area. The website (colonialfarmskc.org) indicates "seating is first-come, first-served, so come early and stay awhile" rather than signing up for the free tickets. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at Timothy Lutheran Church and School’s Vacation Bible School: Rainforest Falls – Exploring the Nature of God, happening June 22–26, 2026!
Children preschool through 5th grade are invited to dive into a week filled with exciting Bible stories, music, crafts, games, and hands-on fun—all while learning about God’s love in a vibrant rainforest setting. 🌈
We’re also looking for youth and adult volunteers to help make this week incredible! Students entering 6th grade this fall and up are welcome to serve and grow in leadership as they support younger children and the VBS team.

This June, Timothy Lutheran Church and School are excited to support the Community Services League (CSL) through our monthly donation drive. CSL provides vital assistance to individuals and families in our community, offering resources such as food, clothing, and other essential services to those in need.
