Not only is Jesus the right answer to most Sunday School questions. He is also the one whose faithful endurance is our only hope for enduring life in this sin-wrecked creation. Today, we step into these verses from Hebrews, which our Senior High Youth are encountering throughout their time in New Orleans. As they reflect and worship, so do we reflect and worship together with them. Join us as we consider what it means that Jesus endured and how He prepares us too also.
The church in Scriptures is described as the “bride of Christ.” As we gather each week as Timothy Lutheran Church and School, the question is, do we look like Christ’s bride? And the answer is probably “not always.” So, how does Timothy Lutheran Ministries pursue the identity God has given to us? Well, throughout our history here in Blue Springs, we have sought to stay grounded in that identity by rallying around a vision. That vision is to “transform lives through Christ.” Over the course of the next 6 weeks, we are going to come back to that vision grounded in biblical truths and refresh our hearts and minds to the calling and commitment we must walk as Christ's bride, right where He put us.

Let’s be honest, when we hear news about our health, it does cause concern in some way, shape, or form. That’s natural because it reminds us of our mortality. Our Lord today speaks into the fears and uncertainties His disciples held in their hearts. And yes, He offers the same consolation to us as well, and it just so happens to be wrapped in the work of the Spirit.
The heart is vital for life. Once your heartbeat stops, life ceases to exist. The Scriptures speak of the heart often, although it isn’t simply the muscle that pumps blood through the body. The “heart” symbolizes the inner person, the source of thoughts, emotions, desires, and will of one’s life. Through June 15th, we will wrestle with what the Scriptures reveal about our hearts and how God engages and redeems our hearts. Yep, it’s time to do some “Heartwork,” so join us this Sunday.

No doubt, God has promised to give us a new heart through Him. But on this side of eternity, we still face the challenges of spiritual disease. So, how do we take care of our hearts in such a way that they are strengthened and ready for whatever comes? Today, we heed the direction from our Lord’s instructions to His people Israel.

Faith, Family & Fatherhood is a space for dads to grow in faith, build brotherhood, and support one another through the highs and lows of fatherhood. Whether it’s the daily grind or sacred milestones, you don’t have to walk it alone.
Guided by Proverbs 22:6
"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it."
If you’re a dad looking for biblical encouragement, real connection, and a community that gets it—this is for you.
We’ll meet the first Friday of every month moving forward.
Let’s walk this road of fatherhood together—with faith, family, and purpose.
More than 40 years ago, the Missouri District established an endowment to provide scholarships for university and seminary students from our state who were preparing for professional church work vocations. This school year, that same fund provided aid to 62 students. Praise God! As we prepare for our upcoming convention, congregations will be praying for the proceedings and taking a special offering on June 1 to help strengthen the Missouri District’s scholarship endowment. Our convention theme—"Bold Hope in Christ"—is a fitting reminder of how we can confidently work together in His kingdom for His glory. Thank you for your support!
Please donate directly to the Missouri District if you would like to donate. Click the button below to donate.
God’s continual care and concern for all of us have made us well-equipped to do the same for others. Thank you for showing the love of Christ to a community needing comfort. Should you have any questions, please reach out to the District office at 314-590-6200.
