Surrounded by compromise and false teaching, the church of Pergamum faced pressure to conform. Jesus calls them—and us—to remain faithful, hold fast to His Word, and stand firm in the truth. This sermon explores how God strengthens His people to live boldly and faithfully in a world of competing voices. First Reading: Revelation 2:12-17 Gospel Reading: John 6:26-33 |

Things have gotten dicey. While the fish swallowing the man is the part we are familiar with the reflections of Jonah often go unnoticed. Yet Jonah’s words are filled with deep theology and divine truths. Jonah pleads for God to set the captive free. It just so happens God is in that business. First Reading: Jonah 2 |

Revelation 1-3: “More Than Good Enough” There are seasons when settling feels safe—even necessary. But Lent invites us to ask deeper questions: Have we settled for “good enough” in our walk with Christ and in the life of the church? Have we grown comfortable with our strengths while ignoring the areas where we struggle or cling to sin? This Lenten series challenges us to move beyond complacency. Through the lens of Jesus’ messages to the seven churches in Revelation, we’ll hear His words of affirmation, correction, and encouragement. Each week, we’ll examine what it means to pursue Jesus wholeheartedly—not just in the areas we excel, but especially in the places we’ve settled. Let’s allow this season to stir us, refine us, and call us to a deeper, more faithful pursuit of Christ—one that refuses to settle for “good enough.” |

Thank you, Timothy family, for your faithful generosity. Whether you give in worship, by mail, or online, your gifts are a blessing and an important part of the ministry we share together. As we continue our focus on Revitalizing Relationships through Sacred Spaces, the GIVE Commission wants to share information about online giving—not as a replacement for traditional giving, but as another helpful option for those who may want to use it. Many members appreciate online giving because it is convenient, flexible, secure, and easy to manage. Recurring online gifts can also help Timothy plan ministry and outreach with greater confidence.
Interested in learning more? The GIVE Commission will offer personal assistance between the two morning services on Sunday, March 15 and Sunday, March 22. We’ll be happy to answer questions and provide one-on-one setup help. If you would like assistance, please bring your phone and any login/password information you normally use. Thank you for your generosity, trust, and partnership in Timothy’s mission as we continue to gather, grow, give, and go in Jesus’ name. |

Throughout the month of March, Timothy Lutheran Church is blessed to partner with Community Services League (CSL) as our designated ministry focus. CSL is a vital organization serving individuals and families across Eastern Jackson County by providing food, housing assistance, employment resources, financial coaching, and compassionate support to those in need.
Your generosity this month will directly impact neighbors facing real challenges. Every donation—whether financial contributions, food items, or household essentials—helps CSL continue its mission of restoring stability and hope to local families.
Together, we have the opportunity to share Christ’s love in a meaningful way and strengthen our community. Thank you for your continued partnership and generous spirit as we support Community Services League this March! |
