The time with the Shepherd has been good so far. By grace He has drawn, provided, protected, and guided. Not surprising, that’s what a Good Shepherd does but today things have changed. Circumstances change, identities change, locations change, and we find ourselves coming to a table. A table filled with an overwhelming abundance of food and drink. But who is this table for, and what is it for? Come gather with the flock and find out. |

But is this beloved Psalm just for the dying or those in grief? Or is it for us today, in every circumstance of our lives? September 7th - October 12th, we will explore Psalm 23 and discover how it speaks to us and our lives with Christ. This Psalm isn't just about comfort in our final moments; it’s about finding comfort and guidance in our daily lives. Join us as we take a deep dive into this beloved Psalm and develop a greater understanding of what it truly means to walk with Jesus, our Good Shepherd. |

This October, we have the special opportunity to celebrate and give thanks to the Called Staff who faithfully serve Timothy. Their commitment to ministry, teaching, and leadership blesses our congregation in countless ways.
We encourage everyone to keep our Called Staff in your prayers throughout the month and to share words of encouragement and gratitude.A heartfelt note, kind message, or simple “thank you” can make a meaningful impact.
Let’s come together as a church family to honor their service and dedication. May our appreciation reflect the love of Christ and remind them how deeply valued they are. |

Are you ready to start your day with purpose? JourneyMen invites you to join a new Bible study through the Book of James beginning Tuesday, October 21, from 6:30–7:30 a.m. We’ll gather at Royal Biscuit in Blue Springs at 15th and 40 Highway, where you can enjoy breakfast and coffee while diving into Scripture.
This study is open to all men who desire to grow stronger in their faith and deepen their relationship with Jesus. James challenges us to live out our faith with wisdom, perseverance, and integrity—truths every man need for daily life. |

Whether you’re a regular in Bible study or just getting started, this is an opportunity to build meaningful connections and start your mornings with encouragement. Bring a friend, come hungry for the Word (and maybe for biscuits and gravy), and discover how God’s Word can reshape your walk.

Doug and his wife, Cathy, have been members of Timothy for over 40 years, and during that time Doug has had various volunteer opportunities at Timothy – usher, appointed elder, reader, choir member, Property Board and is currently a member of the Executive Board, and designee to the GIVE Commission. Doug grew up in central Ohio, but he and his family relocated to the Kansas City area with his career as Research Product Manager for the Home Garden Products of the Bayer Agricultural Division. He and Cathy have two children, and two grandchildren. He is a proud third generation graduate of The Ohio State University! His passions, before and after retirement, have always been nature photography and gardening, and he especially enjoys their 10 -acre wooded property on the northern edge of Blue Springs. |

Timothy's Women of Hope leadership team invites Timothy Church (men & women) to a new opportunity to experience and appreciate God's natural world! We will gather at Burr Oaks Conservation Area in north Blue Springs off Highway 7, one mile west on Park Road, from 4-6:30pm on Thursday, Oct 9, for devotion, fellowship, walking the trail (if desired--wear your walking shoes!), bringing a sack lunch (if desired) to eat at the picnic tables, as well as a special opportunity from 5:30ish-6:30 to learn from Timothy's own Scott Ready, who is an Extension Master Gardener and a volunteer co-coordinator at Burr Oaks. He plans to talk about the native garden in front of the center and discovering the benefits of native plants. It will be a special opportunity to "grow" our friendships, knowledge of native plants & horticulture in general, and humble adoration for God's natural world in our midst.

A spirit of fellowship and service was on full display this past Sunday as a group of our members visited Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kansas City to share a meal and God’s Word. It was a blessing to serve about 30 people a comforting meal of chili, hotdogs, and chili dogs, complete with chips and delicious apple or cherry cobbler. The spirit of giving continued as the team assembled take-home lunches, extending the gesture of care beyond the shared meal. The spiritual focus of the gathering was Jesus' powerful parable of the Lost Sheep. The story served as a poignant reminder that, just like the shepherd who sought the one lost sheep, Jesus tirelessly seeks each of us out, offering comfort and reunion when we feel lost and alone. The outreach was so well-received that Timothy has been asked to return in November to serve a full Thanksgiving meal. If you feel called to participate in this rewarding ministry, please watch for an invitation to join!
Following the event, Pat Enomoto shared a touching message of gratitude:
“You showed up with heart, enthusiasm, and a deep love for Jesus and your fellow man—regardless of their circumstances. What an incredible, high-energy day! Your presence not only served our friends in the Northeast area, but also uplifted your friends here at Our Redeemer. Sometimes we feel like the little lost sheep, and it’s comforting to be reminded that Jesus knows exactly where we are and what we’re doing.”
“Thank you—and your wonderful ‘gang’—from the bottom of our hearts.” |

Middle School students at Timothy Lutheran School recently enjoyed a lively and engaging Big Game Day filled with fun, fellowship, and faith-building moments. The afternoon kicked off with a variety of games, including Chutes and Ladders, a group round of HHH (Heads, Hands, and Heart), and several activity stations where students could explore and play freely. Laughter and energy filled the space as students connected with one another in a relaxed and joyful environment. After the games, everyone gathered for snack time during a meaningful devotion centered on the story of Samuel, encouraging students to reflect on listening to God's voice and being open to His calling. The day wrapped up with a spirited everyone-round of volleyball, bringing the group together one last time for teamwork and fun. Big Game Day was a wonderful reminder of the joy that comes from community, play, and growing in faith together. |
