| From generation-to-generation things change. Whether fashion, slang, or technology. In the church, as generations change, challenges can arise. Here at Timothy, we intended on being ahead of the curve. Just before one of the craziest times in our lives (COVID), we set our eyes on intentionally looking ahead and preparing for the Next Generation at Timothy. Since than things have been chaos. But as the dust settles here it’s time to reset our eyes on the calling the Lord has given to tell the Next Generation of the beauty of the gospel and to equip them to carry the torch. So, let’s regroup and get refocused. |

The church in Scriptures is described as the “bride of Christ.” As we gather as Timothy Lutheran Church and School, the question is, do we look like Christ’s bride? And the answer is probably “not always.” So, how does Timothy Lutheran Ministries pursue the identity God has given to us? Well, throughout our history here in Blue Springs, we have sought to stay grounded in that identity by rallying around a vision. That vision is to “transform lives through Christ.” Through August 31, we are going to come back to that vision grounded in biblical truths and refresh our hearts and minds to the calling and commitment we must walk as Christ's bride, right where He put us. |

| The Greatest ComfortWe all know Psalm 23. It’s a passage that’s been committed to memory by countless people, a passage that brings comfort in times of sorrow, and a refrain often heard at funerals. But is this beloved Psalm just for the dying or those in grief? Or is it for us today, in every circumstance of our lives? September 7th - October 12th, we will explore Psalm 23 and discover how it speaks to us and our lives with Christ. This Psalm isn't just about comfort in our final moments; it’s about finding comfort and guidance in our daily lives. Join us as we take a deep dive into this beloved Psalm and develop a greater understanding of what it truly means to walk with Jesus, our Good Shepherd. |

| Be a Prayer Pal – Make a Lasting Impact!
Confirmation is underway, and we need caring adults to become Prayer Pals for this year’s students! This simple but meaningful program pairs a confirmed adult (ages confirmed and up!) with a Confirmation student for the year.
All it takes is a commitment to:
Pray regularly for your student Reach out monthly with a quick text, card, or message
It’s a small-time investment that builds lasting connections and encourages our youth in their faith.
Can you pray? Can you send a message? Then you can be a Prayer Pal!
To sign up or learn more, contact Mary Low at 816-868-9128 or k2lmlow@sbcglobal.net. Help us ensure every student has a Prayer Pal this year! |

| Timothy’s LWML Welcomes Debbie Dalton from Resource Health
At our August LWML Society Meeting, we were blessed to welcome Debbie Dalton from Resource Health Pregnancy Center. Her genuine passion for the center’s life-saving and life-changing mission was evident throughout her visit.
Debbie shared how Resource Health serves both women and men across the Kansas City area through Christ-centered medical services and family-strengthening programs. Their goal: to provide hope, support, and practical care during life’s most challenging moments.
It is a true privilege for LWML to partner with and support this compassionate, Christian-led organization as they continue to make a profound impact in our community.

Learn from Rev. David Fleming and Dr. Beverly Yahnke how we can stand on truth in love regarding sexuality in a post-Christian culture.
With the legal redefinition of marriage, the confusion regarding gender, and rapidly changing sexual morels in society, Biblical educators, pastors, singles, couples, and parents are looking for guidance in articulating and promoting a positive view of Christian vision for marriage and sexuality. Our goal is to equip people with tools to speak constructively and to live confidently amid the current confusion. |

Dear Timothy, Lutheran Church,
I cannot thank you enough for your faithful and on going support in my theological training. Your generosity and encouragement make it possible for me to pursue this calling, and I am deeply grateful.
My most recent class was both challenging and exciting as I began learning biblical Greek. While it has stretched me in new ways, it has also been a tremendous joy to study the language in which our Lord chose to communicate the New Testament. Each new word and grammatical insight open the Scriptures in a deeper and richer way, reminding me of the beauty and precision of God’s Word.
Your prayers and support are a tangible expression of the body of Christ at work, and I am continually inspired by your partnership in the gospel. Thank you for walking alongside me on this journey.
In Him,
Meg B
