Timothy believes in "Touching Lives for Christ". This mission is founded on the Great Commission which Jesus gave His church - to make disciples of all people. (Matthew 28:18-20) A disciple follows Jesus on a life-long journey of faith - empowered by the Holy Spirit to:
- Gather for worship and fellowship in Christ. (Hebrews 10:25)
- Grow in Christ-like living through God's Word. (Colossians 3:16)
- Go as witness to tell all that Jesus is Lord and Savior. (Acts 1:8)
- Give joyfully in Service to God and His people. (Matthew 10:8b)
Timothy encourages spiritual growth in these ways:
Personal (Individual) Spiritual Life: These are the daily efforts that you take to keep your relationship strong with the Lord.
Group Life: This is involvement in a small group that could be a few individuals who meet for Bible study or a larger group of those who come together for some other function such as choir singing.
Community Life: This is all the people called Timothy Lutheran Church who are members of this congregation. We come together regularly to celebrate what God is doing as He carries out His mission in this place.
